Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in with the Sister and her young Grandkids who really enjoyed having lunch by the chickens, playing in the fox cubs area and the teepee in the Roman Villa Clearing Lincoln is very fortunate to have this place so close yet so few are aware of it.

In the summer this is a magical place to visit with kids. The food is good, but the real star is the location.

Excellent breakfasts served here! We always bring my brother in law each year when he pops down from Manchester to do a wee 100 mile bike ride with my husband and stops over for the weekend. He loves it here and we love the locally grown food aspect of it. warm friendly welcome and in excellent surroundings. Can't wait for you to re-open

Beautiful woodland with so much going for it, 34 acres to wander round which has so many interesting features, structures, eco buildings, and animals scattered amongst it, they do weddings, burials, the cafe is the best, only open Sundays! And there is so many education and training programmes you could get involved with too plus a little shop selling their wood crafts! A must do visit!

We was just driving past this place and so we decided to stop for a look.
ok if your local to it - but not worth traveling to it as its very small.

a very strange but unusual place to visit.
but we can see where there coming from with the idea for kids.

Often visit with family and friends. Cafe open every Sunday and offers nice food. Many people don't know it is there, which is fine by me!

We visited the Hill Holt Wood cafe for breakfast on a Sunday and really enjoyed it, they did a nice fresh fry up in a quirky cabin type building. You can have a pleasant wander round the woods and there are quite a few interesting things to see, not too much walking if you have little kids. Fun to sit and look at the peacocks over breakfast. Lots of eco-projects ongoing,

My husband and I went to the hive café for the first time for a Sunday breakfast and for somewhere different to go. Lovely peaceful surroundings and the 'forester stack' was just what we needed before a walk around the woods.

We've driven past here dozens of times and never got around to visiting until today.
It is a little gem. A pretty woodland with plenty of wildlife; a Red Kite flew over. The staff in the cafe were lovely. The food was good and not expensive. I can recommend the Victoria sponge.
