About
Stourbridge Glass Museum takes visitors on a journey back in time. Learn about the origins of glass making in Stourbridge and visit our Hot Shop, which features daily demonstrations that will enthral and mesmerise. Discover the tools glass makers used, sit in a glass maker’s chair, and explore our extensive glass collections, some dating back 400 years. There is also a suite of digital interactive screens that give museum goers the chance to get creative and design their very own cameo glass before emailing it to themselves or a friend. The museum offers various events throughout the year. From Tunnel tours to Canal walking tours and children's craft sessions for family friendly activities. *Please Note: Museum is now on Winter opening from 6th November until the end of March.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arranged a Christmas bauble decorating experience for the family. We four adults really enjoyed the museum and the whole experience. The staff couldn’t have been more lovely & made our afternoon memorable.
Definitely made memories and would recommend to all ages..
See you again next year.

I visited the glass museum with my mom to decorate our own glass bauble and what an experience it was. To see the glass blower make them was such a highlight. The staff were really friendly, it was such a unique experience. I’m really pleased with how my bauble turned out and it’s something to cherish each Christmas. Thank you

We visited for the first time and we weren’t disappointed. It was a magical experience for us all. The atmosphere was very Christmassing with all the lights, decorations and beautiful hand blown baubles. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone as we all enjoyed it (ages 3 to 43)

Brilliant place for all the family! Me and my husband dave and our 5 children and 10 grandchildren had a great day out! We decorated baubles, the kids really enjoyed it. The mulled wine and champagne really add the richness of this establishment and experience. I couldn’t stop going back for more! Thank you to the museum staff for making our experience even better. x

I am so pleased to finally visit the museum. I went to one of their many workshops which they offer, so did not have time to view the whole museum - however i am looking forward to going back and taking my mum around the exhibitions.
I spoke to the lovely ladies at the counter, who were very funny and knowledgeable about many things.
I'm so happy Stourbridge has this facility.

Recently visited the museum with a group of friends and we all enjoyed our time here with thanks to the marvellous staff. A very informative guided tour and the opportunity to watch skilled glass makers in action! Absolutely marvellous thank you all so much.
Also, the fabulous Red Cone Coffee House just over the road. Really lovely cakes, coffe and more. Well worth a visit too.
Ample free car parking too which is always a bonus. The retail outlet over by the coffee house is great too.

Congratulations to the Museum's founders, as they've made an excellent start in preserving the story and work of the local Glass industry.
I went as I had a family interest to research. However, even if I had not, the displays and practical demonstrations would make a visit interesting to someone without a background in the glass industry.
I met the Museum Director who was enthusiastic to strengthen the children's activities, amongst many other things. I wish the Museum a very successful future.
