Attending a local band evening, have to say the facilities are really good, just seems to be struggling to get the numbers to make it a place to regularly attend.

Great venue, brilliant PA and sound system, great ciders, real ales and whiskys. Stourbridge needs to support this venue as its one of the best we have.

Visited with some friends that were staying for the weekend and having been to moochers previosly on a number of occasions i was really disappointed with the night. Firstly, the bar staff were rude, considering the place was practically empty, they were less than attentive. The main problem of the night was the DJ who valued himself higher than God himself. Having recommending that we visit moochers with friends that were here for the weekend, the reception that my sister got from him when she innocently requested a song from him was appalling to say the least, he was rude, arrogant and dismissive. In my opinion, please don't do a job like that if you can't interact with the general public effectively and in the manner that they deserve to be spoken to. His behaviour was far from acceptable. The dance floor was empty for the majority of the night and as a large group in the venue, we requested a couple of tunes only to be insulted by this jumped up "DJ" who at one point told my sister to "f" off if she couldn't request something that was actually from the 70's. The songs she requested were actually from the 70's era but he refused to play them. I will not be returning to this venue and as a publican in the VERY local vicinity I will be advising my customers not to visit there either.

I have given this a very good rating as I have been before and like the atmosphere and the décor. At least you aren't crammed in like sardines and end up with beer over you before the evening is out. Moochers has good live bands so can I ask the question:- What happened to Three Blind Mice who should have played as advertised but did not appear? I know we only paid £5 to get in but we asked when we arrived if they would be playing and were told yes. Perhaps they let them down at the last minute but an explanation or announcement would have been appreciated. Can I say that the band who played twice were excellent and well done. Gripe over, I will be back but hope that my comments will be taken on board.
