Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During the island lock down Andrew has put on a number of interesting walks, and I went on his Fort Island and St Michael's Isle walk which was around 5 miles and during a lovely summer evening. Andrew brought the area to life and although I thought I knew a lot about the area, I certainly learnt more with Andrew taking the walk and talking about all the sites. I am looking forward to my next one next week.

Brilliant coastal walk to Lag ny Keeilley Chapel and stopping on the return to watch the sunset. As all ways Andrew provided excellent insight into the history of the Chapel and the coastal route.
Highly recommend if you are seeking a walk that is peaceful and allows you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

I went on a lovely and very interesting guided hike with Dr Andrew Foxen of Go Mann Adventures back on Friday 16th February. We hiked from the car park at Glen Mooar up to the moss covered remains of St Patrick's Chapel and on to Spooyt Vane then along the disused railway to Glen Wyllin to the coast and along the beach back to Glen Mooar. Dr Andrew Foxen made this a very interesting hike as we had a good discussion about the coming of Christianity to the Isle of Man and about the Druids religion which would have preceeded it . Dr Foxon also told me about the wild plants growing along the side of the footpath and the different types of rock found on the beach and about the coastal erosion.
I highly recommend Go Mann Adventures as a great way to explore the island on foot while also learning more about its history; flora fauna and geology which highly enriches ones stay on the Isle of Man.

Andrew had a tremendous knowledge about all aspects of the island and was able to communicate this in an interesting and informative way. His in-depth descriptions added tremendous value to the days we spent with him on our U3A tour. He really helped to bring the island, its history and its people to life. He worked diligently to make sure that he was fully prepared for every aspect that we encountered. He was adept at meeting the range of needs of the whole group and interacted with everyone in a friendly and supportive manner. Would highly recommend, without hesitation.

Andy was an excellent guide during our stay on the Isle of Man. Cheerful, patient and humorous, he is also blessed with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the island -- covering its ancient, Victorian and modern history, archaeology, and industrial development. He is a TT volunteer, and entertained us with anecdotes of this world-class event, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors.

Excellent walk from Hango Hill to St Michael's Isle yesterday morning. Andrew has good knowledge of the locale as well as great historical info., which he presented in an interesting manner, interspersed with a little humour. It was good to be able to access the insides of both the chapel and fort. I learned so much as I hadn't realised there was so much to see inside them.

We really enjoyed our afternoon out on the Vikings and Volcanoes walk around Scarlett Head. Andrew is a very engaging guide and provided us with a relaxed and really informative overview of some of the key historical and geological features of Scarlett Head and the wider Castletown area. Very good value for money and I’d thoroughly recommended one of his walks if you’re in the Isle of Man.

Dr Andrew Foxon is the main guide behind Go-Mann Adventures who is at ease as a personal guide on day trips around the Island, or around a specfic town and area or for the more adventurous, an expert in mountain training. He was our guide for a week whilst on a recent Rail Tour and we were extremely lucky to have him. Informative, cheerful, great stories, helpful, approachable etc etc. You name it he knew about it. History, geography, biology, cuisine, transport, politics, entertainment ......you get the idea. On a coach trip, he seemed to have a story for everywhere and just enhanced the experience. Thoroughly recommend. Phone him. 07624480129

We undertook a guided tour with the U3A (University of Third Age) in the Isle of Man w/c 16th April. Andrew Foxon was our full time guide. He covered all our trips to such places as the Cregnesh Village Folk Museum, Castle Rushen, Peel Castle and very interesting tour of Tynwald the oldest parliament in the world. Through out Andrew was a font of all knowledge about the place to visit, the history of the island itself and current island life. He was known to all the venues and gave us information on the areas visited. Andrew has a clear voice and 100% knowledge of the subjects covered. I would strongly recommend him as a guide.

Andrew Foxon's excellent guiding on the archaeology of the Island, especially the Neolithic remains and the Celtic and Viking crosses. He also gave a very good introduction to the more recent history of the Island and life on it. His enthusiasm for the island was contagious and his relationship with the group was professional and very good.

Many thanks for your enquiry.
I'm not allowed to inlcude a website link in this message, but if you search for 'Go-MannAdventures' you'll find it. On the site I list the guided walks I offer and there is a Calendar of when they take place (though the dates for 2017 are not yet on but should be by then end of 2016).
I also offer step-on guided tours to suit the client.
Let me know if you'd like further details or have dates or tours that you'd like to plan.
kind regards
Andrew
