A walk to remember

We had a wonderful walk with Andrew Foxon around Castletown, Langness and Fort Island. It was a perfect combination of history, nature, wildlife, distance and good conversation. Andrew is hugely knowledgable in all areas of Isle of Man history and the natural environment and engaged in a very proactive way with our varied group. There was definitely something for everyone in the walk including the teenagers! We had the bonus of a lovely sunny day for our travels and Andrew was even able to recommend the best ice cream parlour in Castletown where we rewarded ourselves at the end of the walk!

Superb morning on South Barrule with Andrew Foxon, a man with a wide and deep fund on knowledge. As well as Manx history and ecology, we covered such topics such as pathogenesis and Primitive Methodism.

Guide of the old parts of Douglas

We were on a Saga cruise around the UK. sailed into Douglas. we took a tour around the old part of Douglas with Andrew our guide. We found this tour very interesting, not too long and at a gentle pace, most enjoyable.

Spectacular Walk With A Great Guide

One of the best hiking days of my life! Andrew was friendly and informative: his knowledge of the Isle of Man's history, geography and wildlife really brought the walk around The Sound alive to me. The scenery was spectacular, and at one point I thought, 'Am I walking in Heaven?'. Highly, highly recommended!

Highly recommend tour guide.

We undertook a guided tour with the U3A (University of Third Age) in the Isle of Man w/c 16th April. Andrew Foxon was our full time guide. He covered all our trips to such places as the Cregnesh Village Folk Museum, Castle Rushen, Peel Castle and very interesting tour of Tynwald the oldest parliament in the world. Through out Andrew was a font of all knowledge about the place to visit, the history of the island itself and current island life. He was known to all the venues and gave us information on the areas visited. Andrew has a clear voice and 100% knowledge of the subjects covered. I would strongly recommend him as a guide.

Had a fun and informative 2 day Bronze Navigation course and Andrew was a great teacher, pitched perfectly and with humour. Looking forward to completing the Silver course in a few months. Andrew was also has a wealth of interesting knowledge to share about the Island and it's history.

Brisk, bracing and fun walks with Ian
