- Alice KBletchley, United Kingdom37 contributionsChallenging escape room- great fun and well worth a visit.Had a fantastic time in our escape room, and managed to escape with only seconds to spare! The room was brilliantly decked out and decorated and the puzzles were so clever. We've done a few escape rooms but decided to play it safe and chose the 'Novice' difficulty rating. There were clues and puzzles we'd never seen before and Charlotte was an excellent game master. Brilliant way to pass the time on a rainy day (or otherwise!)Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 October 2023
- Alistair DLondon, United Kingdom162 contributionsExcellent Escape Room - really enjoyed it!We went as a family of 5 and did the Madogs Asylum escape room, and it was excellent. We have done a few escape rooms before, so we chose Enthusiast level of difficulty and that seemed to be about right (we only just escaped!). The quality of the room and the experience was higher than most escape rooms, there was an excellent variety of challenges and so we were all able to contribute. The atmospherics were good, there were some squeamish moments, consistent with the theme, and our host, Charlotte, was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a good addition to Porthmadog!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 31 October 2023
- Paradise414228731291 contributionFanatastic escape room experience! We did the Madogs Asylum room. It was fantastic! Great puzzles, flowed really well, logical progression, great story, fantastic small touches. My husband and I have done 20+ escape rooms and this would be right up there as one of our favourites!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 November 2023
- willias01Groeslon, United Kingdom35 contributionsGreat rainy afternoon experienceThis is our second visit to the experience, and we did the Christmas experience this time. My bestie and I had a fab time with the cleverly crafted puzzles and we managed to escape with 5 minutes remaining on the clock. Escape is a rarity for us two! We got a discount code off FB, and it was a welcome pastime on a rainy afternoon in Port. We'll be back again once another room is up & running 😄Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 29 January 2024
- hafodLondon2 contributionsExcellent fun!Excellent fun! I went with my wife and 10 year old son and we chose Madog's Asylum. Charlotte (the owner/manager) has created a great escape room. The challenges were really interesting and, importantly, they were logical. The atmosphere Charlotte created was appropriately tense and scary, but not too much for our son. We just about managed to complete it :-) We would definitely recommend this and a great way to spend an afternoon and it's good value for money too.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 February 2024
- Jess B5 contributions5 star experienceOur first time doing an escape room. Charlotte was an incredible host, and we loved every minute of it! The game was so well thought out and prepared. Sadly we didn’t have time to go back and do another room, but you can be sure we will definitely be back on our next visit! Thanks Charlotte! - Ella W3 contributionsGreat fun and conveniently deliveredBooked the portable dolls house and had it delivered to our holiday cottage- what a blast! Great clues and good level of challenge whilst still being solvable. Wonderful details in the house too. Superb communication and organisation from the company. Would definitely recommend.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 April 2024
- Tasha4253Manchester, United Kingdom25 contributionsA spooky time!We visited PanIQ during a trip to North Wales, and really enjoyed the Asylum themed escape room! We didn't manage to escape (only a few puzzles off!) but we enjoyed it all the same, and would definitely have tried the other room if we'd been staying in the area for longer. We would recommend, we did the standard setting as a team of two and thought the experience was a great price. The only downside was that there isn't a toilet on the venue (always a concern for someone with a chronic illness!) but Costa and Tesco are just down the road, so would recommend nipping in there before you start your room!Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 16 July 2024
- Kate W1 contributionSomething for everyone, intriguing story and clever conceptPlayed ‘Escape to Victory’ on a hen do last weekend. It was brilliant fun, all the hens got involved, some more successfully than others, there’s something for everyone though. The story is really intriguing, and concept so clever. Well done to PanIQ Rooms! I’ll definitely play again! I highly recommend the portable panic room for any party or get together.Visited August 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 5 August 2024
- Sarah C1 contributionFun rainy day activity ☔️😊We did the easiest level of Madog’s Asylum as a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters. We asked for a few clues and managed to escape with just under 5 minutes remaining. The difficulty level was good. Not too hard (with a few hints) and not too easy. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience as a family and would highly recommend. Charlotte was the perfect host and explained everything in detail before we entered the room. Would definitely recommend and will return when in the area next.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 August 2024

We had great fun completing this new room as a family of 4 (kids 9 & 12). The mood was very effectively set, and is eerie but not scary. The theme is thoughtfully executed in the room, with many unexpected touches. The puzzles made us think but never felt obscure or unfair, and the kids were able to contribute a lot to the team (and spotted plenty that the adults missed!). Charlotte is a fantastic host and was generous and kind. Highly recommended.

A high quality, engaging room! A good amount of puzzles so a group can split apart but all of it interlinks. The Game Master, Charlotte, has a brilliant sense of comedic timing too. I cannot recommend this enough, it is such a memorable way to spend an hour.

As a family of 4 we had booked the Asylum. It was recommended for 13+ but my son (nearly 15) got too scared and had to leave. But us adults loved it - really well thought out room, plenty of jump scares and a whole lot of atmosphere. We didn't escape but came close. Charlotte was lovely and really added to the experience. Definitely one of the better rooms we've done and I'd thoroughly recommend it if you're in the area - just not to be done with teenagers who are more "sensitive"!

We booked this portable escape room for an after dinner Saturday night activity. We had 4 teenagers present! We all loved it! It was so good & such fun.
Firstly, it was delivered to the house, and Marvin gave us a quick brief on what to expect.
Once we started the clock & got going we firstly had to work out how to open the front door. After we solved that, we were off! There was so much involvement from the kids, lots of laughter & competitive clue solving.
It’s a really clever concept that gets you addictively hooked!
We did succeed in opening Grandads letter ….but only just!
All in all, a great night and we would all thoroughly recommend.
Easy to book and great communication from Charlotte too.

Would 100% recommend & would return. We went as a spur of the moment morning booking due to the bad weather & we were not disappointed. The lady who welcomed us (i think Charlotte apologies if im wrong) was wonderful. She interacted with our son aged 11 & really made the experience that much more enjoyable & made us so at ease as first timers. A card was even left with one of the clues for his birthday & he was chuffed. We didn’t know what to expect as we've never done a room before but will definitly be doing another in the hopes of escaping next time! The clues were well thought out & engaging. For the size of room the amount packed in was amazing you wouldn't think an hour would go by so quickly or there would be so much to do. It really was an experience & we really enjoyed ourselves.

Very well set out escape room. The puzzles were in line with the theme and challenging without feeling impossible to solve. There was a few surprises thrown in. We enjoyed it thoroughly and will be back for any future rooms that are being developed.

We played today when visiting the area, and it was an absolutely great experience. The room we played was brilliantly designed and the puzzles were clearly thought out. They tailor the puzzles and clues to reflect how experienced you are with escape rooms, which is a great touch that we haven’t experienced elsewhere. If you’re ever in the area, I would seriously recommend giving them a visit!

Booked this room as a family with 2 teenagers, we had a fabulous time, laughing at the scary parts, but we enjoyed solving the room and escaped on 53 minutes...Charlotte is an excellent game master and made the experience what it was. Absolutely recommend this place if in the area. Great fun 10/10
