The day was well planned out as we started off with meeting the llamas and had a quick practice walk to make us feel comfortable before taking them on a longer walk. Great opportunity for pictures along the way too! There were some parts of the walk that were a bit tricky/bumpy especially with 2 people and a llama trying to walk the same part at the same time! But a great family day out!!
Would make a great gift as they offer vouchers on the website!

Absolutely fantastic afternoon enjoying a lovely trek with the llamas and Derek. The llamas are brilliant and so well trained and we got to take part in some llama agility with Casper too. We’d definitely recommend it as a must do when visiting Black Rock/Porthmadog

Brilliant couple of hours spent in the company of Derek and his gorgeous llamas. Bertie was a real character and took every opportunity to reach up and tear leaves from the trees, covering us both in rainwater as the branches sprung back. Enormous fun and would highly recommend to anybody visiting North Wales. We will be back again and again. Thank you!!

Sadly we had to cancel the trek the morning before. Took ages for anyone to answer the phone. Explained our situation and the lady who was very pleasant and sounded genuinely helpful said she would release our tickets for sale and see if they could be sold and if so she would refund. Which is fine as I dont expect a refund if they lose money. Tried to phone later in the day no reply, checked their website which showed they were fully booked for the time we had our trek arranged for.

Tried numerous times to contact via phone since coming home with no luck, eventually got a reply via email to say our slot was not re-booked and no refund. Would rather have given it away to a deserving family.

What an amazing afternoon. Derek was lovely. He talked us through how to hold the llama correctly and told us lots of interesting information. We then went on the trekk and Derek was made us all feel at ease. My daughters and myself thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

A Superb afternoon at Black Rock Llama trekking centre. The Llamas are beautifully cared for and friendly. Derek really knows about and cares about his Llamas and his enthusiasm is infectious. We took our two boys (15 & 11) and both had a superb time. 2 people per Llama and a nice easy walk in the hills followed by some Llama agility, an activity not to be missed. The centre also offers on site dog kenneling, so our 2 hounds were well looked after, enabling us to enjoy the trek as a whole family. If you're in the region of Porthmadog, you should definitely give this activity a go.
