About
We're not your average tour operator; we're a family. We run this local business to bring you to the real & authentic Cuba that we know and love, and also to support ourselves and to improve our quality of life here in rural Viñales. We invite you to experience Cuba away from tourism. We invite you to spend time with us on our farm, in our tobacco plantations and our drying barns, meeting our animals and riding our horses, and seeing how we retain a traditional farming method & how we work together with the Cuban government. We invite you to eat al-fresco with us, play dominoes with our cowboys, share a bottle of rum and have a true Viñales Experience.

Viñales Experience will always be in my top travel memories. The entire family has been amazing and very hospitable and the education about tabaco labor is top. The food was 👍 and Changa our guide was the most charming and entertaining. I highly recommend you do the experience with this family and support the Cuban people ❤️🇨🇺 our hearts are full of love for them. Xoxox CL

Super great trip that I would highly recommend. Changa is an excellent guide who speaks Spanish slowly enough for the tourists that I could have a conversation - Cuban Spanish is super fast and clipped and hard for non-native speakers to get used to so this was much appreciated. He told us lots about the valley as we rode through and as a native of Viñales, he had a lot to share. The horses were great, calm and sure footed. Easy to ride and great to be around. The swimming int he cave was really a cool experience that you should absolute do. It is a short walk into the cave, maybe 1/4 mile (1/2 a kilometer) in the dark (bring a small flashlight if you have one but a phone works too and there is a guide with a light also). Swimsuit is recommended under your clothes or you can change there if you want - it is dark after all. Don't worry too much about a towel, you will be dry soon enough. Went from the cave for another ride to the main farm for a really solid lunch of chicken, rice and beans - tasty stuff. Then we heard about and saw a demonstration of cigar making - can't go to Cuba without that, can you. Learned about the special rum that they make in the valley and coffee too. It was all for sale to take home and we really appreciated that they wasn't a "hard sell" on the products. Then a quick ride back to town and we were off on another adventure.

If you are in Vinales, this is a really great tour of the valley and I would give it six stars if I could. Go see for yourself and you will not be disappointed.

Zip Line Vinales. Great experience.

If you are afraid of heights or an impresionable person, here is the best place to do your first zip line. The young people working as guides and actually zip liners are the most enthusiastic and confident person you will ever find. When we climb the first step which is high, and we saw what it was in front of us I didnt want to do it, my child didnt want to do it. We were in a group of 5 my husband and our two friends went first and we saw then going away. In the mean time one of guys who stay wiht us instead of daring us or rushhing us to do it, he in a very enthusiactic way talked us into jump. To a point i and my child of 10, wanted to do it. He actually did it with us by attaching us to him. After the first one everything else is joy. We never felt in danger.
The equipment they use is very up to date, safety for the lines since to be very good. It consists in a very thick steel wire attached to huge poles incrusted in the rock and a second one as counter safety. guides Although young are very prepared and knoledgeable. You will do for 4 jumps to complete a rectangle between mogotes. The last one is the largest and you actually go between to top of the trees that from the places you are junping looks that you will heat but naaaah!!!. We loved the experience and we will do it again.

The difference between enjoying Cuba and having the best holiday of your life, is using these guys.
You really feel like you’re having a personal look at Cuban life, by people who really want to show you around. It’s fun, exciting and most importantly feels tailored to what you want to do.
Our highlight was horse riding with Changa, we liked it so much we went for a 2nd day with him.

Stayed at the Wilber and Yani house in Viñales. Exceptional accommodations and very SAFE!!!
Highlights- free horseback riding with stay . Food, wifi, air conditioning, very clean comfort rooms. You have a safe for personal belongings. Honestly didn’t really need it. That’s how much I trusted this family Just like my own. Was an honor staying with them in Viñales Centro . The whole neighborhood knows each other, especially this family in particular. Also, food and drinks are available. As well as transportation and anything else you desire that they can accommodate.

We did La Cueva Del Indio .. is half on foot and the other portion in a small boat ride ... is a nice cave small but pretty and a lot of rock formations which was pretty cool.. no major risk

We did the Mirador which was a little shop of souvenirs over looking the valley . It had amazing views ..

We did a tour of a Cuban Cigar house .. they explain how they grow the tabbaco trees and they show us how to make it and how to roll it ourself . It was pretty cool. We got to ride horses around the field and it was an pretty nice experience.

Overall this trip is mainly sightseeing if your into nature.

The highlight of our trip in Cuba! The landscape is exquisite, the family very lovely and the whole experience memorable! You will see how a traditional Cuban farm is, how they roll their cigars and how they live. The lunch included was very decent and don't miss to drink the house cocktail with fresh sugar cane juice. Thank you so much for that day!

Have you ever met someone for the first time and 30 minutes later you feel like you have known them your whole life? That was our experience with the Miranda Family.

We did the sunset hike and were met at the bridge by Chenga. His English is limited and our Spanish is minuscule but without saying too much we could tell that Chenga is probably one of the happiest people we've ever met in our life. He is always smiling, even his eyes smile. He led us to the farm where we met most of the Miranda family. The tours usually involve one of the 5 Miranda brothers as the guide. Ladies, be warned, these are some very good looking men:)

Various family members explain the process of growing tobacco and show you the "Cuban Tractors" (oxen). Their English is very good so it was easy to understand. While I loved learning about how the tobacco grows and how the cigars are rolled, the very best part of the tour was casually sitting with the family (and other guests), eating the dinner they prepared, smoking cigars, passing around the rum, and eventually dancing the salsa. There is no hurry, no time limit, no cell phone distractions; just great company and conversation. It actually doesn't even feel like you are on a tour. It just feels like you are hanging out with some new friends. The conversation comes so easily and naturally and their English was so good that we could ask them all of the various questions we had about life in Cuba. And boy did we have a lot of questions!

By the time the night came to an end there were 3 Cubans and 3 Americans walking in the darkness, linked arm in arm, led only by the light from the stars. There was chatter and laughter and so much joy.

We spent a total of 9 days in Cuba. The time at this farm is etched in my memory as something that I never want to forget. It was the highlight of our trip but also one of the greatest travel experiences I have ever had. These are special people...authentic people, and if given the opportunity to drink rum and smoke cigars with them I would do it every single day of the year.

I would also like to share some travel advice with you. Before you come to Cuba read the blog on the Vinales Experience website. I found Cassie's perspective to be very helpful, particularly the packing list and "Are you right for Cuba". And make sure to bring bug spray.

Thank you, Miranda Family, we love the new Cuban friends we have made.
