Beautiful small mountains. Tobacco fields. Caves. Of course there are a lot of tourists but you don't feel exploited. We did it with a couch in an organized trip: avoid this if possible! You lose to much time going to about 10 different hotels. Do it in a small group and rent a car for a day (you can even... More

We took a day trip here from Havana. The valley it self is very pretty and interesting. The people here are extremely poor! We saw many. many horse drawn vehicles and many teams of oxen still being used for transportation and farming.

I decided to stay here for two nights as I had read the drive was pretty unbearable for some people. Here's the deal: the place (the town) is 1 local to every 5 tourists. Eh. The landscape is ok...it is much like a farm area in Pennsylvania or other grassy farmy small mountainy area. BUT it is not astounding. It... More

You get a sense of how people live in rural Cuba. The town is set up to host tourists with some good bars and restaurants and ATM and Cadeca (FX) and the hop on hop off tourist bus means you get easily get to all the local sights

We travelles by bus from Havana. A long trip (2 x 200 km). But nice to see the valley and some mountains. We had an rather ordinary lunch at Mogote dos Hermanas near det famous mountain-wall-painting. The Cueva del Indio had 2 hours waitingline and was not value for money. Seen better a lot of other places around the world.... More

amazing scenery and spectacular stay overlooking the valley. this is nature as its best and nothing to disturb you. make sure you stay overnight. if you walk a bit away from the hotel, less than 2 minutes on the rural road, you will find the small family restaurants with views and friendly ambiance.

The 4 of us took a full day tour and this stop was part of the package. The cost of 67 cuc per person was a true value. We got to see a lot of the countryside and the stops included a rum factory, tobacco plantation, a visit to some underground caves which included a short boat ride on a... More

Another pit stop on the tour of Vinales. This one comes with an amazing view of the valley at least.

We went on a walking tour of this stunning valley, which was arranged by our casa particular and was about 13 CUC each- an absolute steal! The valley is just beautiful, with the karsts jutting out of the ground and the greenery everywhere. We were lucky enough to visit a tobacco farm and see how the famous Cuban cigars are... More

Very nice experience. This place is a must during your trip to Cuba! The view from the top of Los Jardines hotel is awesome.
