Overall it was a great family time, a bit demanding but totally worth it. Nice little pyramid at the top and totally worth view of the village and surrounding nature.

Really enjoyed the hike up this mountain. It wasn't too difficult. Once you get to the top, if you want to go up to the pyramid you need to pay $50. It's worth it for the view more than seeing the pyramid which is pretty...More

We climbed slowly to the pyramid. The view and pyramid are well worth the effort. Bring lots of water, and maybe some energy food.

The climb to the temple is the equivalent to 120 stories in a sky scaper. The stones are uneven and the footing slippery when wet. I am 60 and in just OK shape and it took me 1.5 hours to climb. Worth it for the...More

I had a few days to kill in Mexico city so decided to go to Tepozteco. Definitely worth it for a night and to climb to see the pyramid. The ruins themselves aren't up to much but the views are stunning. It's easily accessible and...More

Beware, it is all stairs so pretty challenging. The way down was far easier than I thought! The weather was nice and warm even in the beginning of January, so bringing water is a must. The hike is mostly under charming vegetation. We met mostly...More

Excellent place surrounded by nature, lots of trees on the way up which makes it easier to climb. The climb can be difficult, but follow your own pace and it should be fine. There were families with children and senior people.

It goes from Tepoztlan village at about 1700 meters up to a small pyramid located at the top of the Tepozteco at about 2400 meters. It's a nice hike inside a sub tropical forest. Warning: Many stone steps are positioned un evenly, so the path...More

An hour hike upwards a steep slope where at the end special mountainous formation and the families of the wild animal Cacomixtle greet you ... The reward for this hike is a wonderful open view, what makes you perhaps stay longer at this place of...More

It can be a pretty arduous ascent for wee ones and those not in shape, and you have to be careful to go when there are other people around with you, so you don't have to worry about any (as Trump would put it) 'bad...More

You might find a private guide in Cuernavaca, at any Spanish language school, there is no special tour for the area. Actually, it is not worth it, this attraction has more of a physical element and the enjoyment of nature... More

At the base of the trail up to the pyramid there was a restaurant which looked like it had lovely views. If I'd had more time before catching my bus back to Mexico City I would have tried there.
