Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful cenote, we did not plan to go here but someone in Izamal recommended it. It was a great suggestion. It was just us, the water was very refreshing. They have life jackets for free. Have plenty of parking and the price was very affordable. I recommend this cenote.

Wow what a hidden gem! 30 peso entry fee and 20 peso for a life jacket but not needed if can swim. Clean nice changing rooms provided out back and then descend the steps to the cave below the entrance. Beautiful! So amazing. Lit really well with lights below the water this cenote is crystal blue and can see a good 6-8m down to the bottom without a dive torch. I took my 2000lumen dive torch and a snorkel and mask to explore properly. Ropes across a long pool make moving around easy. This place isn’t crowded either and we had four other people there the whole time we visited. If facing the water the left hand wall goes deep under the roof and if you take a snorkel you will see underneath massive 2-4m long stalactites hanging down under the water. Bring a good waterproof torch to get full potential. Shallow section my entrance makes a safe place easyfor children to play. Only saw two cat fish in there. Beside entrance is a small gift shop with some site specific gifts. Good value but the mugs need better printing as photos on them very grainy. Wish they sold site specific magnets. No where seems to and a lot of people do collect them.
We highly recommend this place. So beautiful, very cheap and not busy at all. Safe and friendly and clean! Spotless!

Is the skull at the end of the cave in the bottom something fun for tourist to find or a real dead person? Or both? Anyways, this is the best experience I’ve had freediving in cenotes! Clearest waters! The darkness gives it mystery. Will come back for cabe diving some day!
For best experience, bring a snorkeling equipment and a good quality diving light ( the light rented there is okay too, I guess)

I came here at 9 and it opens at 8. It's on the non-toll road to Chichen Itza and is a lovely stop. It's super private and clean and deep and awesome. Coming here as a family would be a great little adventure and as a couple, super cute and sexy.
There is no reason not to come enjoy it.

This was the first cenote we visited, and it got us hooked! The entry fee was 100 pesos per person and they had life vests you could rent, also. It wasn't very busy so we had it to ourselves and it was amazing!
