The walk down to the base and after about 80m it just stops and you climb back up. Was very dark inside, take a torch or your phone for light and good comfortable shoes.

This was a little drive to get to but can say I have been there done that, lovely walk through the forest to see this cave made by mother nature, pretty incredible really to see the size of it. Worth a look.

Nice way to break up a very stunning drive from Waitomo to Te Anga and beyond. Short walk takes you just inside the entrance to Piripiri caves to get a close up look of a cave entrance (you can descend a couple of metres into...More

A quick 5-10min walk to get there. Take a torch to shine inside the cave to see better. Another gorgeous free activity in this beautiful country

If you are on the area going to the waterfalls or Natural Bridge then worth a quick visit as very close to the road. Take a torch. Not worth a special trip.

Kung Fu Panda: “ah, my immortal enemy - the stairs.” Po would not enjoy this stop but the walk is worth it. Good photos from inside this deep cave and also from the mouth

After the big Glow Worm caves of Waitomo, this cave system gives a sense of how dark and foreboding these caves are. A short walk. Recommended

With so many amazing caves nearby this one really is nothing. You walk down to the base and after about 80m it just stops and you climb back up. If you're in that region for caves then you'll have likely seen ones that are larger...More

A bit of a walk (for unfit persons) but it was still worth it! The cave was cool and so beautiful to look at it. Everything was natural and it was just green everywhere! Definitely, recommend!
