A great few hours - the guides were super fun and friendly. We had a really good group and the whole activity was very well organised. So many glowworms and was fun to swim, tube, climb, squeeze through the caves! Loved the free photos - best way to remember a great day :) 100% must-do in Waitomo

We attended this tour at 14:30 on 5 March. Although my husband and I just attended another tour called "black water rafting" (similar tour but running by different company) two months ago, I personally prefer "Tumu Tumu Toobing". Besides my husband and I, there were also my sister and a colleague of my husband in the group this time. First,... More

These guides live and breathe Waitomo Caves, extremely knowledgeable of the local area and caving in general. This is really fun way to experience caving, glow worms and cave tubing. If your looking to go caving these guys are the only people I'd recommend. We went on a few caving adventures and these guys were hands down the best by... More

We arrived at 9am, 30mins before departure as requested, only to have to wait a further 45mins before others booked on the same trip showed up. By the time we got to the hut at the cave site and donned all our wetsuits etc. it was 10.30 before we set off to walk to the entrance. The cave experience was... More

Thanks for your generally positive comments about this trip. I wanted to reply to the not so positive ones: Re delayed departure: On this day you advise that we held the departure trip up by 15 minutes (ie 9.45am instead of the stated time of 9.30am). We do not disagree and we apologise for any inconvenience the lost 15 minutes... More

What a great adventure! Squeezing ourselves into the tight, slightly rigid wet suits was an interesting challenge as well as walking a couple kilometres in gumboots to the entrance of the cave while avoiding "land mines" aka cow and sheep poop. Do not bring a camera as they won't let you bring it with you on the trip, but they... More

Guides had amazing knowledge about the area as well as the caves and made everybody feel safe and welcomed. It took about 2 and a half hours to go through the caves, however it so worth it! This experience involves: swimming, walking through water and over rocks, crawling and floating. The wet suit is thick and keeps you warm throughout... More

Professional and enthusiastic guidance through the caves .... It takes about two and quarter hours to get through the cave. Involving some minor swimming, walking through water, some short stints of crawling , floating in on a tube look whilst looking at the glowworms. Very good all round experience in and out of the cave. Our guide (Will) was knowledgeable,... More

Having been in caves, but never "caved" before, I wasn't really sure what to expect form this tour. I chose it, because unlike the others with this company, there are no large abseils. As the name suggests, you do go toobing in the cave, however you also get to do some more physical work, like climbing through tighter sections of... More

I absolutely loved the Tumu Tumu toobing experience - had the best few hours caving, wading and swimming through freezing cold water, jumping in to the tubes and peacefully lying back and looking at the glow worms. Thank you to the loveliest and knowledgeable guides and for the pick me up hot drink in the depths of the cave.
