On a very wet day had a fantastic and interesting tour. the rappelling the ziplining in the dark (optional) the beauty of the formations was wonderful. the guides were helpful and informative but 'Fish' could do with some driving lessons after bogging the van in the mud! luckily with the help of some strong burly Aussies the van was freed.... Fantastic tour! we had Fish and Emma, very knowledgable, relaxed and humorous tour guides. The tour advised to allow 4 hours to have it completed. We had so much fun that the 4 hours flew by. The zipline in true darkness was fantastic. Learnt a lot about stalactites and stalagmites. Felt very safe and secure at all times and no... More

Tour was a laugh fest as the tour guides failure to become stand up comedians has led them to this job, making the descents down the tiny caves enjoyable and memorable. The information they provided on stalagmites and stalactites was informational even when we weren't expecting it. The drive there was spectacular (hard hats needed). Overall good experience, would recommend... More

My friend and I booked this tour last minute, and were so glad that we did!! Our guides were Scott and Shawn, and they were fantastic. We spent a good 2 hours underground, including two abseils (total of 50m) and a flying fox through a pitch black cavern. You can't take in cameras, but the views are good enough without,... More

Went with my sister and niece. From start to finish everyone was friendly.guides were Shawn and Emma. .They were absolutely awesome! Very knowledgeable. ..safety procedures were spot on!this cave is apparently not as popular as the others but we cannot see why! The formations are fantastic, the abseil is fantastic, and not so many people. Just a fantastic tour. ..GO... More

A very different sort of cave trip to the usual adventure-related ones. Whilst there are no 'light bees' (glow worms) in this dry cave, it is the most beautiful one we have seen to date. The entrance (2 x 30 m abseils to get to the bottom) is one of the most challenging, which the 12, 13, & 14 year... More

We were looking for a dry cave family experience, something not too challenging so we could all join in. This was ideal. The whole thing is about 4 to 4 1/2 hours, with about 2 1/2 hours underground, and is only small groups. (We were five in total). We took a mini-bus from Waitomo Adventures to a farm a few... More
