Stunning waterfall after a short walk. Bring your camera to capture the rainbows and the falls. The forest walk is lovely with moss covered trees.

Yes, quite a long way down a windy path but still an easy walk. The size of the falls ensures a perpetual mist that feeds the forest ferns and nikau trees. Worth the effort.

What a windy road to get there, a few road works here and there, quite narrow, blind corners and on the weekends limited car parking as it is a time spender whilst waiting for the afternoon cave tours however once you get there the walk...More

This was a perfect stop on our way to the Glowworm caves and Rapid Jet. It's a bit of a hike back up but it's worth the effort.

It was a long, windy ride to get there but the waterfall was beautiful! We had some time to kill so it was a nice way to see some more New Zealand scenery. The walk is short, pleasant, and easy to follow. Worth doing if...More

Just an easy 10 minuets walking from the side of the road, and could hear the running thunder halfway to the platform. Spectacular fall with water flying in the air and shining in the sun. One of the best falls in the country.

There is a short 5 minute walk to these falls, and it is so worth it! The walk itself is beautiful but the falls are even better. We saw it in winter after rain so the water was thundering down the 35m drop. Not sure...More

We stopped to stretch our legs and were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful these falls were in real life...photos actually do them justice. Well worth the stop.

From the Waitomo Glowworm Caves it is 25-30 minutes taking into account it is a narrow and windy road. Also a main road for logging trucks and plenty of local and tourist traffic on the weekends so even though it is only... More

The sign says it will take 10 minutes to get to the viewing platform and there are not a lot of steps - more of a sloping path. I don't think pushing a wheelchair would be that easy, but taking it slowly was quite manageable... More
