No need to be super fit. Take your time and breath in the beautiful fresh air as you go. Lovely vistas of mountain and sea. Worth the effort of walking a few kilometers. Not strenuous at all. Come early. Love it.

Fish Hoek mountain is mostly a residential area on the Fish Hoek side, but there are various walks that will take you along the ridge. Spectacular views over Fish Hoek Beach and False Bay.

Please DO NOT JUST TAKE THE PATH UP THE MOUNTAIN. Every year we see mountain rescue take people off our Cape town mountains. Go with a mountain guide or someone who knows the Cape's mountains. Beware that homeless people and vagrants live on our mountains...More

We had passed through on our way elsewhere, but stopped coming back for something to eat and decided to take an after lunch stroll around the hillside. It was quite windy while we were there, but this didn't change the lovely setting and great views...More

Definitely worth the visit. View from the top is amazing. Not a difficult walk. It is relaxing and you can unwind while taking in the breathtaking view of the ocean from the top of Elsie's peak.

Fish Hoek is a less known gem for hikers and holiday makers , yet it is easily accessible and provides wonderful views. We did a circuit ( with coffee breaks ) which started at Clovelly Wetlands , a bird sanctuary of some 60-75 minute stroll....More
