The TeddyVille Museum is also the abode of Mini Penang, where miniature bears are dressed and placed in small sets that represent the many attractions that Penang has to offer. It is a cute and cuddly summary of the sights and experiences you should never miss upon a visit to our delightful island.

I was bored outta my mind here so as you can guess I’m not here for me! Kids seem to enjoy it a lot though. Entry for a family of 3 was about $30sgd so wasn’t cheap. I felt that the museum was abit old and the bears on display looked a bit dusty.

We Absolutely Loved This Museum! We weren't expecting it to be so adorable. We thought the teddy bears were so cute, well displayed, and so much fun to look at. We really appreciated all the care that went into making each bear so unique. We enjoyed learning about the culture and history of Malaysia and learned so much about how Penang became what it is today. We smiled everytime we entered into a new room and could not believe how creative and vibrant each section was laid out for us to see. We will definitely be going back for a visit and we'll be smiling the whole time.

A modern setting inside a hotel. Decoration is good too but too small to justify for Rm35 admission ticket for local adult.

Hi FEEDBACKS2014 Thanks for your feedback but we were wondering are you referring to the right location? The Teddyville Museum is filled with more than a thousands individually curated Teddy bears, telling the the stories and histories of Penang Island in the cutest way imaginable. It is also set in an area of 10,000 sqft, Including the 1500 sqft welcome area which you don't need to pay for admission. The Rm35 per ticket for local adult is a wrong information, as we charge RM27 for adults and RM15 for kids. Since you didn't elaborate more about our premise's content, and only commented on the modern setting, we have reason to believe that you might posted on a wrong location. But if you did pay Rm35 for an local adult ticket and did indeed visited our museum, please PM us on Facebook with your receipt/tickets, there's a RM1000 reward for reporting for fraud cases. Our premise practice a very strict rules on staff conduct, and till date after serving more tha n 20,000 customers nobody have claimed the reward still. Rest assured we took your review very seriously especially as a TripAdvisor Senior Reviewer. We also noticed you seldom give any location anything more than 3 stars, which still makes us happy that your overall comments are positive. Well, we just hope that you woke up too early today and posted on a wrong location anyway. Because if its not the case, we do have some very beary serious detective work to carry on. Okay till then happy traveling and if you haven't visited the Teddyville, come back and we will pass you two free tickets on your next trip, so you can't roam around in our 10,000 not so small area and soak in the cuteness. Cheers

Wasn't really keen to start with but we had time, were at the Batu Feringghi area & thought lets do this any case. The ticket is a tad ex for Malaysia's standards (local/tourist pay different prices); BUT the experience and the set-up of the place is really one to admire. there is loads to see and if you have kids that like teddy bears, this will be a joy to their senses! Highly recommend it. There are photo opptys which you can pay for and must say that is very reasonably priced.

Apart from the first 'room', this isn't a teddy bear museum. Rather, each room has something about the history or culture of Penang and Malaysia, with life-size + teddy bears dressed to represent the information.

Kids (little kids) may enjoy the teddy bear representatives, teens would be bored senseless, and we only went through because we had free entry tickets.

We went here mainly to take pictures and to entertain the kid. The museum is situated in Doubletree Hilton , hotel guest get discounts. Upon entering the guide will walk u thru the various history and objectives of the museum. It was interesting as they told us the details that during the war no bears were happy. Subsequently they walk u thru the localised bears to take u thru culturally significant things in Penang. It is a different way of understanding local culture. Hard to get a taxi here, be prepared.

When we first go in, it was really a WOW effect!!!!! Those bears are so adorable, many huge bears and scene that you can really spend 10-15 min for one section just to take photo with those cute bears!!!!!!
Amazing scenes and characters with great attention to detail.
Will be back for sure for the next visit to penang!!!! Must go place =)

Dear Meeganmac Thanks for sharing your feedback, and we are glad that you gave us 3 stars. ....... OK I'm lying. I think I should be truthful about this. As the Co Founder of the museum, I am NOT GLAD seeing this review. In fact I'm very disappointed that none of our meticulously curated miniatures & life size bears within the 10,000 square feet manage to impress you. Moreover, I'm even more disappointed about the 8760 hours (approximate) we have put into bringing the museum to life. We handmade all the different miniatures scene, cultural costumes, story board of history of Penang, famous attractions in Penang in miniatures sizes, the whole Penang Bridge being recreated, we moved the whole original trishaw which is only to be found on Penang Island into the museum, we make sure 1500 pcs of our miniature bears is unique in their facial expressions (every single one of them), we basically gone through hell to make sure our visitors enjoy and see Penang's cultural significance, its beautiful histories and the amazing stories of the island and its people, all in one place - the Teddyville Museum. Some tell us we should be happy with the hundreds of 5 star review we got from other social media review platforms, and they told us we should be happy as we are one of the Most Visited tourism attraction in Penang in year 2018 (to date), and they told us we should be happy as many have congratulated us for our effort, thanks the team for the amazing work done for our little Island, and alot of them did say it's not about the teddy bears but the stories that we are trying to tell. But we are very upset with your review titled 'Don't go out of your way' and your short but nonetheless hurtful comment (it's like a spear just went through my heart) of 'Don't put it on your must see list' We are upset because we hate the fact that we still didn't do our best in satisfying everyone, (They told us if you want to satisfy everybody, you'll be a nobody) and I guess what we really want to say is that we are sorry despite all the effort that we made, we still disappoint you. (also don't ask me who's THEY it's a really long story) We are also sorry that we took so long to reply to your review (about almost 3 months and 11 days and not a day passed by that we didn't think about you, and your comment) So today on our historic National's Independence Day, we have been inspired by the people of our great country of Malaysia, that with sheer determination and unity, we can achieve the impossible. With that our whole team would like to declare the following to you in unity and as One. ' Meeganmac, we thank you and we forgive you. We love you' We sincerely hope you have the time to finish this comment and if you do come back to Penang again, we would like to invite you again to Teddyville Museum (it's free of charge and we will arrange a Vip pick up from any hotel on Penang Island <also free of charge>) so that we will have our 2nd chance of convincing you that Teddyville Museum is not about just the bears, and it's 100% worth every second of your time to go out of the way to visit. THANK YOU Meeganmac From, All of us (With LOVE ) Teddyville Museum 'One of The Must See attraction in Penang'
