What a truly beautiful place - Cadouin. What a pity the famous restaurant for garlic soup was closed until 28th - really fancied the soup. We went across the road to a lovely restaurant and had gorgeous omelettes and ice cream. No soup! 😃

There is a charge for entry to the cloister (though not to the church), but if that income helps to fund the sympathetic restoration of the stonework it's well worth it. Fascinating to study the detail in the carvings (aided by the helpful guide notes)...More

A lovely place to take a break from the sun (or occasionally) rain Cadouin and its abbey are lovely places to visit

This is worth a detour. Well maintained and full of interest to people of all ages. You will take a lot of photos!
