This is very nice, not too big but big enough ski resort, mostly visited by french people. We might have been unlucky that in mid-march the snow was horribly wet and heavy, but I could see that slopes are nice and under better conditions, the skiing would be amazing.

Plenty of pistes when there is snow, well looked after . Merlotte has a choice of activities if you don't ski and plenty of restaurants, bars to enjoy.

We went as a family and we have varied skiing ability across the group. There is something for everyone at this great resort, Best for families I think as its very quiet - not many restaurants so we ate in most nights.

Well it was my first ski experience ever!! and it was amazing. The place is just 2 hours drive from Aix-en-Provence/Marseille region. I would suggest you to get there early (around 9 am) because in the high season parking can be tricky. The prices for my taste are quite high (18 euros for beginners), but if you get more access... The ski resort is a very good station. It was my first trip abroad and my 2nd time snowboarding. The place is great to start your adventure in skiing and snb'ing as well as to improve your skills, thanks to the variety of tracks. Really enjoyed my holiday there.

If you are in the greater Marseille area and looking for the best of the Southern Alps for riding, this is probably it. Only 2 hours drive from Marseille. Lots and lots of terrain. For such a large park, the last couple kilometers of road sure is congested. Get there 30 min before opening to avoid being stuck behind a... More

Well from my 'title' you can see that's my French done with! Orcieres is a small resort...on a good day you could complete it all in two!! But I found it to be pretty wonderful. I'm not a bad skier and I really enjoyed the week I had there. The range of blues and reds are good. The blacks are... More

During my stay there, the slopes have been icy, muddy, watery, even filled with dirt at places, basically, the surface was good for skiing for only two days. The slopes also have a lot of bumps, some of them are always 'bumpy', and some become bumpy near the end of the day. But eventually, I got used to it and... More

Super slopes and excellent instruction from Ecole Ski France, especially from Emilie and Bruno. Fast lift lines, very sunny and fresh snow made a wonderfully memorable vacation to start the year. Uncrowded trails, great off piste opportunities and low priced shopping made us feel like we received a great deal.

Great slopes for beginners and intermediates, not so much for experts, but the latter wasn't us. This is almost an entirely French resort, no package holidays so fantastic empty slopes even in Easter week. So many chairlifts that we didn't have to use a button or t bar lift at all. Definitely recommend Intersport whose customer service and advice was... More
