To stand where once stood one of the Severn Wonders of the Ancient World is quite something. It his helped that it is in the delightful harbour of Rhodes. It was well worth the stroll along the harbour to get there.
Worth going for a quick visit. It's free. Would be good if there was maybe an information sign explaining the myth behind it. You can walk right the way round to see from both sides which is a nice stroll.

The Colossus of Rhodes was, of course, destroyed by an earthquake and the place where it once stood at the entrance to the harbour is now marked by statues of deer on two columns. In its day it must have been an awesome sight.
