If you come around by the town Hall, there is a large car park, but please be careful of the zebra crossings as the Greeks do not seem to abide by our rules. Good photgraphic opportunities

Two columns with deer on top stand where the Colossus used to be. In the postcards it's huge! Take a selfie then grab a scoop of ice cream on the promenade nearby for 1 euro...yes, that's right!

To stand where once stood one of the Severn Wonders of the Ancient World is quite something. It his helped that it is in the delightful harbour of Rhodes. It was well worth the stroll along the harbour to get there.

The Colossus of Rhodes was, of course, destroyed by an earthquake and the place where it once stood at the entrance to the harbour is now marked by statues of deer on two columns. In its day it must have been an awesome sight.

Pretty little harbor, but the Colossus was destroyed by an earthquake soon after it was built and there's nothing about it at the harbor entrance where it once stood.

Imagine the 7th wonder of the world being here, destroyed by and earthquake? Possible. The sun shines, the boats rock, the tradesmen what you to tour the bay in their boats.
