Came out for my Open Water Diver course. The communication from Ryan beforehand was excellent.
The team there are so friendly and professional that I'm already planning my next course for 2024.
Massive shout out to Ryan and George who led me through all the steps with professionalism and patience and enabled me to get my my certification.
Also, shout out to Jamie, Colin, and the others - such a good team at Waterhoppers.
Can't recommend highly enough!

I was really looking forward to this but on the day I was super nervous. It only got worse once I was in the water, i felt like I couldn't breathe and I was panicking a lot.
It is so well organised and there are almost one to one staff with you. One absolute angel came to my rescue and held my hand, helping me calm down and take steady breaths.
I kept trying for a short period and then panicking and going back up for breaths. The instructor held my hand and kept me calm the entire time, I was about to say I would just go back on the boat and he kept me going, keeping almost at the surface the whole Time.
By the end I was calm and actually enjoying myself and I couldn't have done it without the saintlike patience he showed me. Im sure his name was spyrios or something similar and he really made the whole experience for me with his kindness.

What can I say.... amazing!!! Would recommend to everyone. Lara, Leo, and the team were just fantastic.
It was our very first time scuba diving (hadn't even done snorkelling) we got a taster session in the pool of the hotel we were staying at, no pressure at any point to book and lara was so patient with us, we booked for 4 of us, two adults our 17 and 11 year old kids.
We were collected at advised time from our hotel, arrived at there office were we were greeted by everyone all so friendly met 6 others who were going aswell, again all so lovely, got our briefing, fitted with our kits and transported down to the beach (very short drive).
We went out in small groups, we went as our family of four.
I found it very difficult to regulate my breathing as I'm a nose breather, so I found it very hard to tell my brain to breathe through my mouth. Lara knew this was the case as I did the same when we had our taster session at the hotel. Lara took me under her wing, relaxed me and had a lot of patience with me (thank you so much) she slowly guided me at the shore until I was comfortable with my breathing and we were on our way, she was amazing guiding me the whole way by hand. The kids and my husband were having a whale of a time, and Leo took amazing photos for us to remember it by.
So I would definitely recommend the waterhoppers diving school Lara and Leo to everyone of all abilities. It is definitely well worth it. Thank you guys so much. You are doing an amazing job with an abundance of patience for us beginners.

First diving experience for our 12 year old daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent tuition and organisation, rounded off nicely by availability of underwater photographs taken during the dive. Thoroughly recommend.

Family with 3 kids aged 8, 12 and 15 and Dad (qualified diver) and Mom (can’t dive/ burst eardrum). We had a blast. Kids had great intro dives with the youngest being a ‘Bubblemaker’ having a 1:1 experience. Everything was incredibly safe, comfortable and best of all fun.
We arranged for pick up from the hotel to the boat and had a 40 min boat trip to Kalithea bay. The first dive was 20 mins and after a break the second dive was a bit longer. Qualified diver had a 45 min dive. Nice visibility with lots of fish. In between there was lots of time to snorkel.
All the employees were fantastic, especially Mike who showed us the ropes and Sharon who took us round. Thanks to all for a great day in the water and for getting our kids hooked on diving.

An absolutely fantastic experience for the whole Mitchell family! My wife and I did the beginners dive with our two teenagers and we loved it. From the first minute to the last you feel you are being taken care off by the best team. The dive itself was great and all the information and advice we received on the prep helped us feel comfortable in the water on the actual dive. My wife was particularly nervous but a massive thank you to Leo who made sure she felt comfortable and grew in confidence as the dive progressed.
I cannot say enough good things about the experience, the team and especially Leo. A must do whilst in Rhodes!

We had an incredible time on our diving and snorkeling tour with our kids and their grandparents ! The boat experience was nothing short of amazing. The instructors were fantastic, not only ensuring our safety but also making the whole experience fun and educational. The equipment provided was top-notch, and our kids had a blast exploring the underwater world. We couldn't have asked for a better family adventure. We took my father in law with us who is nearly 70 and used to be professional diver .He felt well taken care and enjoyed every minute being on this trip. Highly recommended!

Waterhoppers is a brilliant school for first time divers, I started with a morning taster and then took the plunge and did my 18 meter PADI diving course. Michael was my instructor, he's so experienced and teaches you everything you need to know, I felt completely secure with him and the rest of the team, from Tania that first explained the diving trip, to Claudia that organised us, to Mike that introduced the diving day (and encouraged me to take the course :) )and Michael that taught us, the whole team was amazing.
I completed the course in 3 days, I went from never diving to being a qualified diver, unbelievable learning curve.
If you ever wanted to try diving, this is the school to go to, you are in very safe hands, I cannot thank the team enough 🙏.

Hi Emma. Thank you for your interest in the Waterhoppers Diving School. You can take your PADI open Water Diver course through either our base in Rhodes Town or Pefkos. I suggest you look for good deals on hotels in either the north or south of the island and then check their reviews on Trip Advisor before you book. We provide a transfer to the closest base as part of the course price. Once you have booked your hotel please email me and we can arrange everything with you. Best wishes Jill Simmons

Waterhoppers own a number of boats from large Dive / Snokelling boats, Glass bottom as well as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) but predominantly they go out on them for Diving / snorkelling and “Discover Suba” trips. You may be able to get more info if you email Gill (one of the directors). The details are on the Waterhoppers website 😃
And... Yes they do “pick up” we were picked up and dropped off every day for all our dives 👌👍
