Monastery’s them self are always beautiful, and this one is no exception. Located way into the hills it’s the true stereotype of what you imagine a monk may live like. The views around are beautiful and it is welcoming. Picture worthy as well as a...More

Took a stroll to here one afternoon - you can drive but I would suggest a walk if you are fit enough as some parts wouldnt be good in the car.

It was quite difficult to get on the top because of the wind, but you will remember that way :) It was a fullmoon and its light was shining on the sea. I absolutely recommend a visit to Monastery Tsambika, it is misterious but beautiful.

Despite the difficult climb, the calmness and stunning views are paid off. The interdiction to take photos inside of church is a little disturbing, but one can overcome this. It worth relaxing for awhile there.

.. but this comes with a price :) there are lots and hundreds of stairs to climb until the top. But the view from up there is astonishing. The church is also small old and nice.

We took a taxi to car park and then walked the 300 steps (which vary greatly in height and width). Panoramic views from around the monastery though it would have been nice to have one of the information signs in English. Walk down into Kolymbia...More

Hello there! It's from early morning 7:00 am to the sunset . That means it depens on the time the sun sets. Anyway, it's not easy to climb up without light. Have fun in the sunniest island of Greece !!!
