Great house, with good views of Lake Como. Beware, lots of steps! Try the lift. Gets very busy - timed tickets. Interesting history and exhibition.

A really wonderful garden experience (and the house with 'art' and a great lake view). The gardens are on a slope so it is a little difficult to access all areas. Best to arrive by ferry and get a discounted entry.

We had a tour of the villa since we stayed at the property next door and it was very interesting to see the house as well as the beautiful gardens, I would definitely recommend a tour on a nice sunny day.

We spent a lovely afternoon at the Villa Carlotta Gardens which were wonderful. They are built on a sunny hillside but there is a small elevator in the garden for those who need it. A truly colourful place even in October. The house was fairly sparse in furnishings but had some interesting sculptures.

The “villa” is sparse and not really worth going in, the main thing is the gardens. Unfortunately we were booked in on an October day of non-stop torrential rain so were unable to appreciate them, but if you are reasonably mobile (it is a collection of terraces) and with a strong interest in botanics then this could be the place... Be sure to get the audio tour because it is very good. The gardens are magnificent. The house is a little sparse but still very good.

The gardens are outstanding. worth spending time at. A great place to spend a sunny afternoon. The upkeep is simply wonderful and you can forget all your problems and relax on a bench at your leisure. So many variety of trees and garden paths.

Villa Carlotta offers a very beautiful garden with huge variety of plants. It is also possible to visit the house and learn it´s interesting history. We took a boat from Nesso but you can get there easily from other villages too.

Very nice place, worth visiting and paying the entrance. Audioguide is good to make the visit more interesting, still some explanations are a bit too long. Great art inside. Small kids, like mine, got a bit bored after approx 1 hour. Push-chair friendly place, with ramps and elevators.
