Villa Carlotta welcomes you with its magnificent botanic garden and art masterpieces in over 70.000 square metres of gardens and museum. The beautiful villa was built at the end of XVII century by the Milanese marquis Giorgio Clerici in a natural basin between lake and mountains, facing the dolomite Grignas and the peninsula of Bellagio.

Beautiful grounds and I'm sure in Spring and Summer months the flowers are amazing. Walking the gardens can be tricky in poor weather. Be sure to stand on the front balcony and take a photo of Bellagio…or better yet, have someone take your picture with...More

This villa is a local landmark and although I have been only twice in 1972 and 1994 I cannot think that it will have changed. The building is impressive and beautiful inside with some interesting artwork and sculpture; concerts are held there - piano recitals...More

Even though it was September there was still some colour to be seen and the layout has many places to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views. The house deserves a look as it is well laid out and contains some interesting items.

Worth a visit!! Both for the botanical gardens (divided in sections) and the palace itself, this is a gorgeous, peaceful, interesting landmark, worth the small entry fee.

Only go in the sunshine. Beautiful Gardens. The house is nice but not furnished in traditional style as UK Nation Trust Properties are but it was furnished with pieces of art etc. Worth a visit if you are in the Area.

The gardens at Villa Carlotta are worth a visit. The care, planning and upkeep of these gardens yields awe inspiring results as nature is brought to a level of magnificence beyond one's dreams. We spent a long and enjoyable afternoon touring these gardens.

Small rooms which are easy to relate too and the ambient sense of peace. The art work in the property demanded close viewing.

The gardens here are the star. The villa itself is interesting and has beautiful views, but the gardens are extensive and beautiful.

I don't recall the cost but it's reasonable. We have also been there in October and it is worth the visit.
