About
The superb wine from Montalcino is born in the vineyard and develops in the cellar. Two fundamental steps carried out with the utmost care and knowhow. The main element though is the summer sun that gives character to the grapes. Solaria is the Montalcino winery who has focused on these characteristics . the vines located on a high plateau on the southeast side of the rising Montalcino and bath in the heat of the dun from dawn till dusk! Patrizia Cencioni gives you the opportunity to tasted the wines directly at the winery; there you can discover the secrets that create Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino one of Italy's greatest wines.

The only compliments go only to the young guide of the tour of the cellars, Bianca, an enterprising girl who accompanied us in the right way during the tour of the cellar. The tasting of the wines by the "family" leaves much to be desired in terms of quantity, quality and friendliness, an atmosphere made too serious for the environment and the context in which we find ourselves; our group liveliness was repeatedly criticized for being excessive. This has repeatedly ruined a carefree moment between friends and couples. The quantity of wine served "for tasting" is questionable and is honestly a little small.

We have lived in Italy for 5 years and frequently take trips to Tuscany for wine tastings and Solaria was an absolutely incredible experience! Arianna was an incredible host and was so warm and friendly, letting us stay later than we had planned because we were enjoying the tour and tasting so much. And the WINE!!!! Omg, the wine was fantastic! I am usually not a huge fan of Rosso's - I go straight for the Brunello, but the Solaria Rosso was incredible and the Brunello was out of this world! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend to go to Solaria and take a tour with one of the two amazing sisters that work the gorgeous vineyard with their Mother, who started it all. Just INCREDIBLE!

Very nice place. The guide let us see the whole production, storage and packing of wine and also tell us a lot of interesting details. The tasting was good but they have only red wines. Very kind people.

We stopped here as part of an organised private wine tour of the Brunello region. We were warmly greeted and given an informative tour of the vineyard. Lastly, and most importantly the wine is top-rank - with a special mention for the Solaria 123 Riserva! Well worth a visit.

This women-run winery is truly unique! Every time we come we go to visit them. They have a unique selection in the world! 🌍 and then they have a very good Solaranne wine that I collect its bottles and it is an initiative truly worthy of reward. I love this cellar 😘❤️🚙

My, husband son and I noticed the open sign and drove into the property and while we were parking this lady who was talking to a group of people, seemed to be one of the staff/owner rudely asked us before we even got out of the car whether we had an appointment. We said no and she very brusquely asked us to leave the compound. We have NEVER EVER seen this kind of behaviour in all of Italy and we have been visiting Italy for years and come here a couple of times a year. My family and I were embarrassed, shocked and horrified and simply drove away. It left an unpleasant taste and we really didn’t know how to react. It was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had! We were only planning to pick up a few bottles of wine as most places were closed being Saturday!

We were a group of ten visiting Tuscany and their outstanding winery. Patrizia and Arianna Cenceioni was an absolute delight! Arianna, the daughter of Patrizia, was our guide and she was wonderful and informative. After a tour of the winery, we enjoyed an outdoor tasting under a large canopy overlooking the unbelievable landscape. She gave us an opportunity to try most of their production and it was delicious. Needless to say, we shipped a bunch home! Don't forget to ask about their Grappa - Arianna taught us the proper was to drink Grappa so that our throats and mouths weren't on fire, but rather we enjoyed the delectable taste of this beauty! Thank you Arianna and Patrizia for a wonderful and memorable afternoon! Richard R.

Beautiful winery just on the hill of Montalcino. We reserve a tour with tasting of six wines including of course, the famous Brunello di Montalcino. Alberto was our host and was very good. Friendly, full of informations about the production, the winery itself and especially about each kind of wine. The weather was not the best but he made our visit much better as we expected. Absolute worth to see and ask for Alberto to be your host. I am sure that all the stuff are good but Alberto was our guy. Thanks Alberto once again.

This was a nice surprise. Went without a reservation the they served us a very nice tasting of Montalcino wines. Rose all the way to Brunello were quite nice here. And Christina was a great wine educator.

We were visiting the wine company during a holiday in Val D'Orcia in July 2021.
The company was recommended by a nearby hotel and was unknown to us.
Ms. Arianna hosted us for a wine company tour and a wine tasting. You realize you have arrived in an excellent wine company shortly after check-in and you finish the wine tasting with the feeling you were hosted from a family friend.

Good Morning,
Are you open in November? Do you offer tours of the wine and olive oil making process? We are determined to see how olive oil is made while in Italy. Thank you for your help!

Hello! We are also producers of oil, but we do not do the pressing of olives directly in the company. But if you want to come for a tour and a tasting we will be very happy. We are open all year, write us an email if you want to make an appointment.
