My family of 6 visited this winery last week. We called in the morning and were given a tasting slot that afternoon. We were staying in Cortona. The drive was about 1hr and 15 minutes. It was a spectacular drive through wonderful Italian countryside. The roads were quiet and the views of the Tuscan hilltowns were incredible. If you're in Montalcino, the winery is just 15 minutes drive. Our host, Cecilia, spoke wonderful English (as well as other languages) and was very informative. She explained so much about the history of the family, the wine and the region. We came away with a far greater understanding of this special wine and region. Cecilia poured 3 reds and a Vin Santo accompanied by local cheeses. The property is authentic and the tasting was very comfortable, seated around a beautiful antique table in a traditionally furnished room. We appreciated being somewhere cool as temperatures were nearing 100 degrees. Cecilia was very approachable which made the day! We purchased wine which was reasonably priced but there was no obligation or hard sell. Thank you Cecilia and Tenure Silvio Nardi for a fabulous afternoon. I highly recommend this winery and the beautiful town of Montalcino

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our visit at Tenute Nardi. Cecilia showed us around the estate and learned us a lot about the history and the production process. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a very good sense of humour. The wines we tasted were amazing. We highly recommend this fantastic place and hope to come back soon!

Brunello di Montalcino is the king of wines in this region. There are quite a few to choose from but Nardi ranks among the highest. The wines are spectacular and the prices are quite reasonable. From the moment you set foot onto the property, you are greeted by Cecilia (pronounced Cheh-Cheelia) Testini. She is warm and gracious and welcoming but most of all she is very knowledgeable about wines and Brunellos in particular. The tasting room is a dining room rich with taste and history. You are served with salamis, cheeses, home baked breads and biscottis. You are made to feel like a guest not a visitor. A bit out of the way but well worth the drive. Cecillia is fantastico!

First and foremost understand that out of the literally dozens upon dozens of wineries this one rates #5 with there Burnellos scoring in the mid 90s. So with that in mind add the warmth of folks who manage and produce amazing Brunellos. We drove up from Chiusi and spent the morning with a delightful young lady, Cecilia, who is very knowledgeable in the estate. We tasted three wines, had cheese and the plunked down €400 for a shipment to the USA. I think the top two in my mind would be the Manachira 12 and of course the Poggio Dora 2012. The 2012 was the best of years for Brunello, cool wet spring and a hot dry summer I believe. So to allow you lovers of fine wine add this beautiful estate winery to your travels. As Leonardo Da Vinci said, discovering a new wine is so much better than finding a new star in the sky. Caio
