About
The winery Franco Pacenti stands at the foot of the hill of Montalcino, on the north-eastern side, in the basin of the Canalicchio, classic and historical area, counted among the most suitable of the title. Founded in the ’60s by the father Rosildo, is still managed family-owned by Franco Pacenti and his sons Lisa, Serena and Lorenzo, the third generation of the family that, proud of its past, looks to the future without ever taking for granted values and traditions. The winery covers an area of 36 hectares of which 10 are vineyards. The only vine cultivated is the Sangiovese from which the Rosso di Montalcino DOC, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva are produced. We also produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Grappa di Brunello. The Pacenti family is pleased to welcome you for a visit of the winery and a tasting of its products, which can be accompanied by traditional and local food.

We were a group of 8 (adults, young people and small children) and the experience did not worth it at all.
Good wine but not impressive winery and a disappointing picnic overpriced and poorly served costing 35 euros per person.. the tasting includes only 2 qualities of wine that were served in hot temperature (almost 40• degrees outside in the middle of the olives not comfortable at all and hot wine to go with..)
Young people did not drink the 2 glasses of wine but were charged as adults.
Definitely not a place to recommend. It would be better and incredibly cheaper to buy several bottles of wine and drink them somewhere else pairing with eatable food in a coziest place.

Amazing tour!!!! Beautiful cellar and great people. The wine was Superb, in my opinion the Brunello Reserve was my favorite wine so far in Italy!!! Grazie Mille

Incredible setting and wines. Lucrezia was our gracious hostess and we sampled 3 Brunello wines which were delicious. Highly recommend making a stop while touring the area. Reservations are recommended.

We booked a visit with tasting during the Christmas holidays to introduce Montalcino and its wines to friends. At Pacenti we spent a very pleasant afternoon, in a friendly and super welcoming atmosphere. We visited the cellar and tasted excellent wines, accompanied by tastings of oil and Christmas sweets. Our host was really kind, and very knowledgeable. Experience that I recommend!

Unforgettable experience, thanks to the courtesy and passion of the Pacenti family. Beautiful walk through the vineyards and a magnificent aperitif at sunset with tasting of their wines among the hills of Montalcino.

very well organized tour, excellent welcome, exhaustive explanations, interesting and passionate Lorenzo's story which made us aware of the peculiarities of the place, the characteristics of local production but above all he conveyed to us the love for his work and for the territory. The outdoor tasting comfortably seated on sofas with a direct view of the vineyards is priceless! TOP!
