My wife and I did a Brunello wine tur. This family-run winery had a spectacular wine. Lunch was unbelievable. The day was one of the best of our entire trip to Italy. We highly recommend Poggio rubino winery, you won’t be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff are so warm and friendly and it was such a nice afternoon. We started with a tour and then sat down for lunch and wine pairings. Unfortunately it was a rainy cloudy day so we couldn't fully enjoy the view. It was really nice enjoying the wine with a nice sit down meal. We enjoyed the wine. I ordered some wine, olive oil and vinegar to be shipped to me. The olive oil they produce is very nice as is the aged vinegar. I highly recommend a visit here.

The view of the Tuscan hills is great. The "light" lunch with wine pairing was excellent. We really enjoyed their wines particularly their 2018 Brunello. We bought a few bottles. their prices are very reasonable and the price/quality ratio very attractive. The hostess was very friendly and informative. Overall, a very enjoyable experience

My visit to Poggio Rubino with two girlfriends was without a doubt a highlight of our “girls trip“ to Italy for cooking and wine tasting. We were warmly welcomed and treated royally throughout our lunch with wine (and olive oil) tastings - and, oh, the VIEW! The tour before lunch was also wonderful. Michael was a perfect host, knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was excellent and the meal delicious. I ordered a half case of the 2015 Brunello. This was in early September and I was told that it was not due to be released until the end of January so would be shipped for my receipt in early February. Here it is February 3, and I my bottles have arrived, just as promised. I would not hesitate to buy wine here and have them ship it. This is a first class vineyard, delightful in every way.

We loved this small family owned winery. We arrived and were greeted by a fleet of cats and one sweet dog. Roberta, the owner, and Anna, our guide, were so friendly. We toured their beautiful property and wine making facility, learned a lot and Roberta made us some delicious focaccia and panzanella. And then the wine tasting. Beautifully crafted and superb Brunello. We purchased a case and got on their mailing list too. A great place in Montalcino to visit away from the larger corporate giant Brunello facilities.

Great tour with our wonderful guide Fransesca. We booked the same day and saw this small and fairly new winery. Tried their Rosso and three Brunello that were very good. We had the best 90 minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and tasting / lunch at Poggio Rubino! The tour was very informative and interesting. We had lunch paired with delicious wines overlooking a spectacular view - a perfect Tuscan experience! The food was great and plentiful - don't let the "light" fool you - and the wines were lovely. We ordered a couple of cases to ship home. The Brunellos are more expensive, but that is typical. They also had a phenomenal balsamic vinegar that we purchased.

Lovely winery. Visitied here in May 2019 on our honeymoon. Purchased a case of wine and some olive oil. Was told our case would arrive in 6 weeks. Tried calling and emailing when we received nothing after 4 months. After multiple attemps, I finally spoke with "Michael" who assured me that the wine would go out the following week. That was over a month ago. We still have recieved nothing. I tried calling and emailing again but they have ot responded. Do not purchase wine from this winery

Dear Mrs Jennifer, First of all thanks for spending time with us at Poggio Rubino but we are relly sorry to receive your bad review because we always regreet these events expecially when they don’t depend on us. I would like to clarify few things just to let all our customers hear both sides of the story: You went for a tasting on May 29th and the wine you purchased has been shipped correctly the first days of June. In September we receive your first request to see the status of your order and we checked by going the courier page, the tracking shown delivered but you said you didn’t receive the package, so, we ask you to check if someone else at your address has accepted it and to look around the delivery location while we were verifying with the Italian courier in order to better understand what happened and we discovered that the courier delivered your package to a different address and since the guy at the incorrect address didn’t accept it the package has been returned back to wholesale in New York. At that very moment we asked the courier to arrange to re-sent your item to you, ASAP to the correct address, they confirmed the procedure and we let you know you will receive the order very soon. After a few days we learn by the courier that they can’t re-sent the wine quickly because they can’t find the package so, “we decided to ship the whole order one more time completely free of charge” entrusted the new shipping service to another courier we work with to prevent you from waiting more time and because we didn’t want you receive wine could be demaged qualitatively. Obviusly, we let you know step by step what we were doing and we are disappointed to read that ‘they have not responded’. In the meantime, a new delivery was scheduled and we found your complain. We are really sorry to have kept you waiting and for your frustration because it's our job every day to make every aspect of the customer experience a great memory for all of you and our first goal is Customer satisfaction, at Poggio Rubino and at your home but we always deliver and if something like this happens because of courier’s mistake we always fix the problem shipping again. We think srtongly that we have done our best for solving the problem occurred and not caused by us and at the end you have your ‘new’ wine delivered to you in about 8 days... Yours sincerely Have a happy holiday season, Alessandra Marzocchi

Having done about 9 wine tours while we were in Italy, the bar was set pretty high for this particular tour. The ladies were friendly but it was not the greatest of enthusiasm and genuineness and it made the tour seem very commercialized and rehearsed. The hors d'oeuvres provided during the tasting were below par and the wines didn't leave us with an impression that wanted us to take one home. The setting and views were nice but I can't say this is one of the best wine tours in the Tuscany region. The bottle prices also were not within the normal range for this area.

We were searching for a place to go wine tasting and found Poggio Rubino on trip advisor. Unfortunately we couldn't reach them by phone but because of the good reviews we decided to take our chances and stop by to see if there was anybody there. We found the farm around mid-day after a long drive and met Roberta, a very nice friendly lady. We also met their vicious guard-dog that let everyone know we were coming (he is about 3-4 kg of raw muscle but as long as everyone keeps their cool he`s alright). Roberta arranged for us to meet Anthony, also a super-friendly guy, American so (obviously) speaks fluently English. He took us for a tour around the farm, showed us all flavors that could be found in this very dry mineral-rich area of Tuscany. He is very passionate about the whole process of their winemaking and it was a real joy to listen to him. We had a very good time and got to taste their wine(s) in different stages in the making. We dropped in unannounced and could not expect such a nice and warm welcome. We were only two people and got a private tour, which we paid only a symbolic price for (and a lot less then what other farms charge). We stayed there for about two hours or so. The wine is not produced in huge amounts so it brings an exclusive feel to it. We both really liked the taste of the wine(s) and even picked up two bottles in the local shop in Montalcino later that day which we are saving for the right occasion. We are definitely customers in the years to come and we are really glad we decided to stop by. We would recommend this place to anyone. Kind regards Audun & Andrea
