An interesting and informative visit. The history of the castle is clearly explained and the lady on the entrance desk couldn't have been more helpful. We were there at the same time as a large school party, but they were kept completely separate from other...More

If you are in Dungarvan I recommend stopping into the castle. They show a 10 minute movie about the history of the castle and then you can roam about the castle. It isn't large so your visit is short and sweet and right in the...More

Interesting history lesson inside these walls. Surprising to find how recently it had been used as a military installation. A good stop while you are in the area.

A very informative and witty tour of the castle by Mary. Very well maintained with lots of plans for development. Well worth a visit.

Small castle with a lot of history behind it. I'd suggest starting your visit to Dungarvan with the castle because the information presented there will orient you to the rest of the town. Plus the people working there are a wealth of information on the...More

It's nice to see and good location but it's nothing to travel for. There are bigger and better castles close by. It can give you some image of the olden days but it's just but much.

Hi, Depends on the experience. Having a meal, ask for the bill when you are ready to go otherwise you could be waiting a long time. At a bar,you get billed as soon as you get your drinks. Hope this helps.

Ranges from pub fare to the Tannery, a well known, high end restaurant. Lots of options in the town and near the castle.
