    A wonderful oasis
Seen some odd reviews on here. As a recent addition as a local I felt I needed to comment. A fine range of beers, well kept, and a friendly mixed clientele. Furniture quirky and recycled. Attentive and knowledgeable bar staff happy to advise on beers to hand. Won’t suit everyone but that’s one of the joys of a really good pub.

Stackhouse Bar - well worth a visit!
Brilliant bar! Really friendly owner and staff, great lagers and wines and good music. We tried other places during our week's stay but always ended up here as our favourite bar. Well worth a visit! And a great quiz on Sundays!

    Great bar
Visited with my OH and our puppy. Staff and locals were very friendly and incredibly welcoming. Bad staff helped me pick out what gin I wanted to try and recommended ales to my OH. All were well presented and tasty. Ralph, our pooch, was given lots of attention and treats which was lovely and meant we stayed for a couple more drinks! We will definitely return!

The place is dirty, and very warm, no surprise a hygiene rating of 3.
The bar staff are unfriendly particularly Alex.
The popular beers are regular taken off.
You cannot drink outside now, so basically a place you would not frequent in the summer.

Why is this bar not full on a Sunday night. It is great. Beer, wine you name it they have and the banter is great.

Lovely small bar with great service and a reasonable if not exceptional range of beers. Beer range should be focused more on the many excellent local breweries not national brands like GK or breweries no one’s ever heard of from the other end of the country. A good range of ciders and gins were available but a limited range of interesting craft beers. My major complaint would be that vaping is allowed inside in what is quite a small bar. On a couple of visits the atmosphere was thick meaning it was impossible to avoid.

Warmly greeted by bar staff and shown to last table available. Querky pub with lots to look at, especially the different types of seating. Plenty of choice of beers inc draft stout. Reasonably priced so all in all really enjoyed this place.

We went to the Stackhouse twice during our holiday in Hornsea. Friendly bar staff, a very good range of real ales & ciders at reasonable prices. Relaxed & welcoming vibe. Highly recommended.

I came across Stackyard Bar when in Hornsea last weekend. We were a party of five and were seated comfortably. The venue is really cool and attractive. The variety of seating (including cinema seats) is great and there was a lot of interesting items around. Drink options were good and I had a speciality lager which was delicious. The gentleman on the bar was very welcoming and friendly and it is definitely somewhere I would visit again when in Hornsea. The place was very clean and spacious and I felt very COVID secure. Recommended.

The review title I have used is for both the bartender, Andy, and the locals in this friendly bar. We were six in number of humans.... plus a Labrador who mooches around and likes to meet and greet people!!! We were made to feel very welcome here and not as if we were “strangers in town”, although that’s exactly what we were - weekenders at a local Lodges site. The elderly dog in our party was made a fuss of, which he loves, and locals interacted with us all too. The beers are marvellous; really well kept and at reasonable prices, bearing in mind the excellent quality of the products. We watched the rugby on a huge screen and then came back again the next day as we had had such a good time. We’ll definitely come back.
