The Antrim Castle Gardens site is an absolute gem and you will find nothing like these 400 year old gardens anywhere else. A recent £6m restoration project which received generous support from Heritage Lottery Fund has now preserved this historic site for generations to come. The Gardens are a unique living museum, with layer upon layer of design features and planting added over the centuries. Indeed, rarely is so much history preserved on one site. The many exceptional features include the ancient Motte, the Large Parterre, the Yew Tree Pond and the Pleasure Gardens.

Not mind blowing I'm sure for international visitors, but worth the trip out of Belfast to explore. Great for kids, mostly flat, but some 'falling in pond' hazards for little ones. Gardens look great. Cafe adequate.

This is a great place to let the kids run about. Took the grandkids here played hide and seek and had a picinic on the grass. There is also a cafe where u can get something to eat.

I ran a leadership programme at this venue last summer. Lots of room options up to group size of about 15 comfortably. Catering was excellent, and having the gardens (with the weather!) for break out sessions and to allow participants to relax between workshops was...More

Beautiful gardens and perfect place for a walk. The Gallery is worth a visit. The coffee shop is difficult to get seating in when it's busy and the Sunday hours aren't great. Best to check in advance. There's a small gift shop too. Parking is...More

Lovely gardens by the river, courtyard café with indoor & outdoor seating, colourful formal gardens, ponds and miles of woodland walks, all dog friendly.

There is only a ruin of the Castle which burned down at the start of the 20th century. You mainly see and enjoy the gardens.
