We didn't see all of the areas within the grounds, but all of the bits we did see were beautiful, and there was no entry fees. I'm sure you could spend all day here if you had the time.

A wonderful place to visit! Well-tended formal gardens, wild spaces, walks and historical buildings. There are long ponds with ducks, and grey squirrels in the trees. Add to this a gallery with ever- changing exhibitions, and a good tearoom, and you have an excellent day...More

We love the man made spiral hill you can view high up from, the ruins of a castle, and wee ponds and river. Just generally a great place for imaginative play for the kids in summer and winter.

Beautiful walks and a nice warm coffee shop to finish up in after an autumnal walk! The trees are beautiful colours at present. There are lots of varied paths to walk around. It is very picturesque even mid November.
