We were glad to get to visit Mellon Charles in Covid 2020 but the stay was more subdued for not being able to visit the Aroma cafe. It is a rare and wonderful place with lovely food, beautiful views and a real ambience. The click and collect allowed a regular top up of the perfumes/ soaps that we sent to Friends around the world who could not meet us in Mellon Charles . Hoping the cafe and Scotland can safely open back up in Summer 2021.…

Dear Terina C - it was lovely that you were able to support us during your visit to the area in the summer of 2020. We thank you for placing your click and collect order. And we appreciate this lovely review, too. We are happy to say that, all being well, we will be open to the public from Tuesday 4th May 2021. We are busy getting everything ready to open and look forward to welcoming everyone again! Take care and thanks, again, for your support. Best wishes - Katie Hollister

I've been to the Aroma Cafe and Perfume Studio several times on walking tours. I always include a visit to the Studio for lunch and shopping in my itineraries (until recently, I visited yearly) The meals were nutritious, locally sourced, and beautifully presented (using Highland Stoneware!) The coastline view from the cafe is peaceful and quiet. During Covid 2020, I ordered lovely soaps for Christmas presents. They arrived today, Gorse Coconut and Orange Cinnamon. The fragrances permeated the mailing bag! When I return to the Highlands in 2022, I will once again visit this gem on Loch Ewe on the NW Coast of Scotland! (I typiclally visit in May. Trip Advisor did not let me select May 2019 when i was last there.)…

Dear highlandbelle - thank you for your lovely review during lockdown and also for the online support of our business - we really appreciate yours and every order that came our way during that bizarre time. We are happy to say that we will be opening again on 4th May 2021 and we can't wait to welcome everyone back. We will look forward to seeing you on your visit in 2022 and until then, stay well and stay safe. Best wishes - Katie Hollister

My husband and I visited the cafe a few weeks ago, so apologies for taking so long to write my review. We received a warm welcome from the waitress and chose a table by the window looking straight onto the loch, which was only a few meters away. The view really made the visit for me but the soup and banoffee pie I had ordered were both delicious. We had a walk round the perfume studio afterwards and I bought some lovely soaps, one of which I put in the drawer of my bedside table. I now get lovely whiffs of Lemon Myrtle as I fall asleep. Lovely place, which we will defiantly visit again.…
