We loved this monument. It's barren location makes it strong and powerful. The nature setting makes it even more beautiful. One could see it's a living memorial center with a lot of people paying their respect to their loved ones. Also if you're not planning much more regarding Ben Nevis, this is a good spot to view Britain's highest mountain.... More

An unexpected high point of our holiday. Read the tributes in the circle beside the monument and enjoy the spectacular view of Ben Nevis et al. The country walk up from Spean bridge is excellent also.

My wife and I both come from military families and believe strongly in the ethos. Both of our fathers served full 22+. I myself served in the TA, Mercian Regt. My wife is a instructor with the Royal Marines Cadets, with the rank of Sgt. We have many military friends, and amongst them are several boot necks, green lids, call... More

This will give you a good understanding of these brave people past and present. I knew very little about the history of the commandos

The view from the site of the monument is amazing. This is a place stopping off at if you are heading for Inverness or Fort William. There is a memorial garden which is worth a moments quiet viewing too.

A place for quite reflection. The commemorative memorial is impressive and the garden of remembrance contains memorial plaques for Commandos up till the present day,

Lovely views and such a touching tribute to military past. I can't believe how many tributes and memorials are here, very sad the loss of so many lives but yet touching. Plenty of parking and easy access.
