    Impressive Memorial
We loved the amount of people taking the time to visit this impressive memorial. It was nice to know people still cared about the sacrifices made by our veterans. Set on a windy hill, it has great vistas and an even better storm. Somber graveyard commemorates the fallen heroes.

    See if you can
Was a bit windy and wet and area is hilltop. However, if in the area is worth the stop. Is a quick stop but respectful and well done remembering a group of men so very important to the British effort in WW II. And in a very brief summary perfectly outlines who they were and their importance.

    A memorial.
We went to this iconic monument on our way back from the Scottish highlands. Located atop Lochaber, this bronze sculpture consists of three commandos in uniform and "United We Conquer" is inscribed around the top of the stone plinth. This memorial provides panoramic views of Ben Nevis. This is one of the popular tourist attractions.

A nicely done memorial to the local citizens who served in various wars. There are wonderful views of the area from the memorial. Plenty of parking.

The monument is facing Ben Nevis and is a humbling experience. Especially the tributes to the brave men and woman who made the ultimate sacrifice.

One of our stops on our holiday in the Highlands of Scotland was the Royal Marine Commando Monument at Spear Bridge, Lochaber, Scotland. This was a little bit special for myself as my Grandfather was a Royal Marine during WW2 and I had done some training with the RA Royal marines while serving. If you visit make sure you check the weather and wear the appropriate clothing.

The Monument stands proud and is a fitting tribute to "the fallen" - its just a pity that the car park seems to have been adopted as a lorry park which seems disrespectful
