Even as you speed past the monument you cannot help but be taken in by its presence, so do not just pass pull into the car park and spend a few moments at the garden and then have a walk around the site Make sure you have a coat even in the summer mind.

If you are in the area or nearby it is definitely a must place to go. This monument is sited overlooking the commando training ground. If you are up to it, also visit the memorial plaques. Very sad..

A peaceful place to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by the few for the rest of us. Readily accessible, just off the main road.

Well worth a stop at this very moving and poignant memorial to the men & women who trained in all weather conditions during WW2 to become soldiers of the newly formed elite commando unit. " Lest We Forget "

This was my 3rd visit here to pay my respects to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. It is such a beautiful memorial to the Commandos and always gives me goosebumps on the short walk up from the car park. The small Memorial garden is filled with tributes to the fallen it's heartbreaking but everyone should pay... More

Set in a beautiful backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, this memorial pays a fitting tribute to the fallen soldiers of this country so that we may enjoy peace and freedom. We went on a foggy day but this did not alter the great experience of the site.

Stopped off here on the journey back to Inverness from a stay in Oban/Fort William. This statue is impressive from the drive up. We visited on a snowy /icy day and the car park was a little bit of an ice rink. However it was worth the skate to get there. Such a beautifully designed monument , located in a... More

Always amazes me every time I drive past more so lately as there is so many new memorials added after the recent conflicts. It shows this monument means so much to the fallen. Never forgotten. Beautiful resting place. Always worth a stop no matter the weather.
