About
One of the earliest and still family-owned estate wineries in the Okanagan Valley. Very consistent and highly-awarded wines.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful Vineyard, tasting room wasn't as extravagant as some of the other nearby wineries. I particularly enjoyed the notes of grapefruit in the 2019 Dry Rock Sauvignon Blanc. Having to wear a mask during a wine tasting was a bit of a bummer, but understandable.

There is a part of me that doesn’t want to write this review because I don’t want Gehringer Brother’s to become well known, I would rather it stay a hidden gem!
The wines are uncommon varieties with a wide range of tastes for everyone’s palate, the price points are exceptional and the staff is very pleasant.

This was a second-time visit for us - it was a favourite during a short Osoyoos stay last June, and then again, during our longer stay this June. What we saw and so-enjoyed again: the wine shop and tasting facility in a small building, high up on a lovely hill location, with wonderful views, the friendly and very knowledgeable hosts, and fine, very-reasonably priced wines -- a combination that sure makes for a 'must-do' winery visit for us!! We actually stopped by the facility twice during this stay in the area - first to see and taste, and then later in the week to purchase, just before we returned home.
What I tasted and purchased: Dry Riesling, Ehrenfelser, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Summer Night (a red blend), and Private Reserve Pinot Noir. I'm so looking forward to trying what I brought home -- a good sampling of each, to savour and enjoy!!
A big thanks to the fine hosts - for the tastings and all the great information provided, you each made our visits so enjoyable and worthwhile!! We so hope to be able to return before too long, and when we do, a visit to Gehringer Brothers will be at the top of our 'must-do again' list of wineries!!

Simple and good wine, like you can find in the farms in europe. The facilities probably should be renovated, but also it give a rustic touch to the full location.

It was our favourite winery we visited! The staff was extremely friendly and we got to sample all the wines! Thanks to all the amazing, informative, friendly staff for making our trip to this winery a favourite! We will be back. We had a big group and they were able to handle the group at their tasting bar which was also a huge plus!

This is our second time to this winery and it was just as good as the first visit.
The staff are so helpful and not pushy all.
The wines are really good and a great price point.
I would encourage everyone to make this a stop on your wine tours.

My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired.
I’m not going to lie, Gehringer Brothers does somewhat fall under the shadow of the larger and more extravagant Hester Creek. But I would not dismiss Gehringer Brothers in any way, and I would never visit Hester without also visiting Gehringer. I mean who would travel such a distance and skip one? So, there is no competition here. More likely, this is a shark / remora metaphor, a mutually beneficial relationship, verified by all the employees at Gehringer possessing suckermouths. In reflection, they might have been aliens…
…okay…admittedly, by that point in the day, I had ingested a lot of alcohol, so the last observation may not have been accurate. Regardless if the staff were secretly smuggling their pre-metamorphosis offspring in bottles of wine in hopes of an eventual global takeover via our fascination with fermented grape juice, the winery is not bad to look at, a traditional front of house sporting the requisite tasting bar and various bottles spackling the walls. Though I will say my specific host was one of the better encountered this day, and that says a lot. It was packed when we arrived, but the host still made time, and by the end of the experience, we picked up a few bottles, though most were smaller late harvest desert wines. Don’t knock it, by the end of this trip, I got to love these, as well as the ports, ice-wines and botrytized wines. The cabernet franc late harvest was a favorite and one that will find a permanent place in my collection. I also liked the displayed where they highlighted the history of their labels.
Gehringer Brothers is another great winery in a great region, and with its proximity to Hester Creek, it’s one you dare not miss. Just keep a watchful eye for those ovipositors.

Service is such an influence. We were a small group and there were only a few others in the wine tasting area. The gentleman we had was struggling that day with his smile and attitude. There were bowls of small crackers on the counters. Don't even think of consuming one without his express permission. The only thing that made him happy was the vintage car in the parking lot,...we were a mere annoyance. The wine unremarkable.
