Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is housed in a former granary that formed part of the fortress walls. It was discovered by accident when excavating for research purposes and the result is an interesting short tour that takes you under the street from which you enter. The tour is self guided with the aid of notes handed out at the entrance. This only takes about 20 minutes.
The age of the ancient fortification is amazing. There is no fee to enter, they simply ask for a small donation as you leave.

Nice view and a place to sit and rest in the shade.
Partially reconstructed old entrance tower and walls.
Careful if you have kids. Not accessible for strollers.

The southern fortress walls of Sozopol are a part of the Old Town and the area is very nice for a relaxing stroll along the bay if it is not very crowdy. Parts of the walls have been renovated and there are many good, and usually expensive, cafes and restaurants.

We walked along the wall in June. The view to the sea is really stunning, the atmosphere is calm, you can sit under a tree, eat an ice-cream, listen the sound of the waves and chill out. I loved the experience.

This historic wall is very beautiful. Over the last 7 years we have watched it be slowly brought back to its former glory. The whole area around the southern wall is one wellworth a visit. If you like history, sight seeing or just a beautiful setting the old town of Sozopol and the southern wall is definately worth a visit.

The walls of the ancient town are a beauty that must be seen when visiting Sozopol! The view is breathtaking! In the night the walls are full of lively restaurants and tourists walking and having dinner! Great place for a walk in the evening!

This is a good place to watch the comings and going of boats and to see a good view of the city. There are stairs down to the shore. It is a walkway around the side of the hill. There are many restaurants located here.

This is a lovely little place with restaurants over hanging the sea, and a view across the bay. Worth a wander in the evening. Walk to the top end away from new town in time to catch the sunset
