Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beach is not bad, it is cleaner than the most around Kavatsite, but the wind is strong and you cannot swim or dive (strong currents also). All of the time the red flag was up, so just walking on the sand and baking on the Sun.
Also near the showers there are a lot of elevated rusty nails on a wooden boards. So be careful!
Parking is around 3.5 EUR per day.

The beach is amazing so expect to see a lot of people. There are plenty of restaurants on the beach but I recommend buying corn from the locals who roam around the beach. It's delicious.

If you are a tourist in Sozopol and do your beach time there. Stay there. There os nothing for you here. It's not that crowded. The sand is not so tiny. Avoid this beach at any cost.
I lek it better here without you ...

This is a really good spot, one of the best beaches in Bulgaria. The water is very clear and the sea is not violent. There are lifeguards positioned around the beach to ensure safety. The beach has many many delicious restaurants to visit for food. Lots of good sea shells for collectors. A bit of seaweed at times though.

I've been to Kavatsite Beach for the first time this summer and I like it. It was quite, clean, the water was hot, there wasn't a lot of people at the part that I have been (next to St. Nikola's Hotel). The lack of people on the part of the beach where I have been maybe it's because there wasn't bars, only one restaurant. On the other side, when i was walking on the beach it was overcrowded in some places which wasn't very good. I am fearful that in the next years it's going to be full of more people.

Probably it was the worst time to experience this beach. August, crowds, green water after lots of hot days.
But I cannot understand what can explain the garbage in the sea and on the beach. It is my first experience in a Black Sea. And frankly - nothing that could make me coming back again.
Still if you are in Sozopol, and decided to go to that beach, head towards the farther end of the kavatsite beach, opposite to the city. There is a lonely hotel close to the cliffs. That was the only place where you would have no crowds around, really clean sea. And even the chance to do some snorkeling.
Same advice about the other beach, closer to the city (bujaka). Even more dirty! Especially close to the restaurants and shops. Could not understand people laying in water plants, swimming in the garbage and enjoying themselves... Go to the further end of the beach and you will get the cleaner sea and surroundings. Small comment - last 30 meters are occupied by nudes. So if you are not comfortable, stop 50 meters before.

It was the summer of 2029. Wide and clean beach.A large free zone that is not forgotten in any area.
We visited an establishment near the former Veselie campsite, nothing special.

If you’re going to Old Sozopol (recommended) then factor in a stop at this beach. After a pleasant stroll through the wooden houses, a stop for lunch then a refreshing stop at this Black Sea beach which is adjacent to the old town. Beach is clean and well maintained with umbrellas and loungers available. A few bars and restaurants along the beach cater for most needs. The sea is wonderfully warm!

Soft sand, clean big beach, big free zone. Also big enough zone with paid umbrellas. The dunes beside are really beautiful - fig trees, grapes and sand lilies. From all sides there is a beautiful forest. I liked it very much.

This is an easy access beach for one and all. The sand is super soft. The beach area is super shallow for little kids. The waves are gentle and just right. On one side you can dive or snorkel and find crabs. A good beach to hang out at.

Where exactly is it?
Google maps never heard of it and the location in TripAdvisor is not of any beach...

Kavatsite is one of the greatest beaches at the Bulgarian seaside. It is located 3 km south of Sozopol, almost at the south end of the "new town". Reaching it by car either crossing the new town following the main street or if coming straight from Burgas - taking left sign immediately after passing by the exit to Sozopol which will be on the right. Can send you a map location by email.

How do one reach Kavatsite Beach from old sozopol without car ? Walk or bus?
Written 16 June 2016
It's about 2.5km from Sozopol to Kavatsite. You can walk. Another option is to take a taxi, but first negotiate for the price it shouldn't be more than 10leva. There a bus stops near Kavatsite but I think the busses are a little bit random and there isn't a schedule for them.
