I went there in winter so it was cold and windy. When i went there wasn't single person who walked to the rock. You will need to walk through the village of Imerovigli. Since I went in winter there was pretty much nothing open. Santorini is a pretty sleepy place. It is pretty much dead in winter. Walking to rock... More

Easy hike from Imerovigli.. allow a few hours to hike across Skaros Rock and down to the church on the opposite side (Chapel of Agios Ioannis Apokefalistheis - now used only by locals for special ceremonies), something you might miss if you're not looking or are intent on hiking to the top of the rock (also doable but you'll need... Nice place for hiking and some easy climbing. Don't miss the church on the opposite side. It's very easy to climb to the top

I went here around lunch time and i had the whole place to myself. I was surprised to see a monastery at the end - you can get that Santorini-picture from here. Great hike and amazing view! Just remember to pay attention to the sign telling when to turn left - i had missed it so i was lost for... More

It's a tiring walk and can be more enduring that you initially believe, but worth the challenge and a gorgeous view. Please wear the appropriate shoes. I'm always shocked how many are in sandals, slipping, and not prepared.

I climbed OK, on the decent a lady in front of me slipped & had a bad fall from an approximately 3 meters. People are generally very helpful assisting with finding foot holds etc for the decent.

A nice walk out to the rock that allows you to view santorini from a different angle. If you are going to climb to the top then wear some decent shoes (not flip flops) as it is a steep rock climb. Even if you don't climb the last part right to the top the views are still spectacular.

This rock intimidated me for 3 weeks. It looked like it might be a tough walk. I decided to give it a try and it is definitely worth it. 900 year old church on the seaside, the walk isn't as bad as you think until you get to the top and you will need proper hiking shoes. Don't miss it.... More
