Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

NOW MCGUIRES

Went here quite a few times for drinks and food. Staff really friendly and for anyone with kids the wifi is spot on.

Food is a simple menu and tastes great, Sunday lunch is a must.

Friday is Fish and Chips night at Tommy Tuckers - homemade thick cut chips with crispy battered fish - all three of us cleared our plates.

We also had a Sunday Lunch in the same week - all fresh veg (carrots, cabbage, brocoli) with mashed and roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, thick gravy and beef - delicious!!

Its a beautiful and open air pub with good food BUT its supposed to be an irish bar "which the owner is Scottish " and it was the day off the all Ireland GAA final 8 of our party was told that they would definitely be showing the match and 12 other people with children that had left another pub which was also showing the match headed up to tommy tuckers for dinner n space for the children to watch the final and after askin again 30 min before kick off to have the GAA turned on we were told sorry but the celtic match was on and 3 people were watchin it 2 of them "STAFF "so it wouldn't be turned on...needless to say the 20 IRISH people were NOT pleased and left...!!! We headed to the TEMPLE BAR pub across the way were they were more than happy to accommodate the 20 of us were we had a great day...so obviously tommy tuckers must be very flush in cash if he can allow 20 paying customers for FOOD AND DRINK to leave very annoyed...

Dear Claire, I do really want to apologize for the inconvenience caused on the mentioned day. The bar do not belong to any scottish. I was the first surprised when I got to the bar and the GAA final was not on. I asked the staff, and aparently, the signal in one of the tv's was very poor and the Celtic game had already started, so we were unable to show both games at the same time. Of course is an Irish Bar, and that's why from now and ahead is renamed as Ma Brown's Irish Bar. Hope to be able to compensate you on the next visit to Gran Canaria. You will always be able to find me or Arthur, the new manager at the bar. Kind regards Adela
