About
We are a Padi 5* dive centre offering scuba diving and snorkelling activities in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. The diving hosts a huge amount of marine life including stingrays, octopus, wrasse, trumpet fish, bream. They are mainly found on the stunning wrecks and reefs within the local area. The dive centre is based in Puerto Rico, but its very close to Maspalomas, Mogan, Tauro and Playa del Ingles, where we also offer courtesy pick up and drop offs. You wont regret learning to dive with Blue Water Diving. We offer personalized diving services and group sizes are small.

I did my Padi Divemaster Internship at Blue Water Diving, where I was a temporary part of Blue Water Divings crew for a month. it was an amazing experience! I dove almost every day with BWD and I really enjoy the Diverse marine Wildlife and the chill conditions well suited for beginners as well as experienced divers:)
Kate and Chris are super nice people, and they really have your best interest in mind when planing your dive. The divecenter is well structurally planned when it comes to the equipment and dive sites/times.
And if you are lucky enough to dive with Chris (The king of stingrays) he will do his best efforts in tracking down, and showing you the majestic and huge stingrays of Gran Canaria. And making sure you have an awesome dive.
The instructor Keko is an awesome person! He is always happy and really easy to talk with. He is very professional, you will always be (and feel) really safe when diving with Keko.
When diving with Keko it’s almost like being With family, and if you have any concerns at all, he’s always ready to help you and ensure that you’ll have an amazing dive-experience:))
All in all I would highly recommend diving with Blue Water Diving, whether you have never dived before or are a well experienced diver, because the experience will be so amazing that you will always remember it! :))
(Ps. I would also really recommend the divemaster internship with BWD, I learned so much and I really enjoyed my time there)

The Diving here was excellent. I did the divemaster internship at this dive school and I have to say, it was faultless. All the staff were so helpful in helping increase both my knowledge and diving skills in order to pass the internship. The instructors were great and really easy to talk to. They were very easy to learn off. As well as this, the diving experience was great. Fascinating underwater life and great variation of dive sites. I had a brilliant time out there and I would recommend this dive school to anybody looking to dive or learn to dive in Gran Canaria. 10/10

Began my Divemaster Internship on the 3rd of January for a period of four weeks and ended up staying for another three due to how much fun I was having and due to how welcoming Chris, Kate and Carolyn were. The first month was great fun doing my training from Open Water through to Divemaster along with the other three interns Bertie, James and Gonzalo all who made the internship a great experience full of banter and some good memories. Februarys interns Chris and Kristina were also a great fun and had a few good weeks diving with them too also making good memories.
Diving in Gran Canaria was amazing, averaging two dives per day on various reefs, wrecks and shore dives seeing some great marine life, my favourite site being El Cabron. The training received was second to none and was great fun as well as being intensive and informative. The training was completed with the great new instructor Carolyn as well as Kate and Chris who are great seasoned instructors who all also made the experience great.
Thanks again to Chris, Kate and Carolyn as well as all the other interns - good times with great people and non stop banter, especially from Chris. Anyone thinking of doing the internship should go ahead and get it booked, you will not regret it.

2 weeks of diving with fantastic people!!
I can’t thank the Blue Water Diving Team enough, 18 nights in Gran Canaria and was able to dive all days the shop was open. Many various, brilliant, and interesting dive sites, whether from the shore or off the boat.
Chris, Kate, Kesha and the Trainee Divemasters are very professional, helpful and always going the extra mile to ensure that your experience with them is pleasurable.
I am going back to Blue Water Diving to complete my Divemaster Qualification and would recommend BWD to anyone who wishes to start there diving journey, progress it or even just dive for fun.
Chris & Kate see you again in August!

We have found our Dive family here on the Island!!! My wife and came initially for the 3 day 6 dive package and ended up having the Blue water team work us in towards our advanced open water certification. We would have completed it but my wife became ill the last day so we couldn’t complete are last required dive. We did however take down the beast known as El Cabron!! Chris, Carolyn, Gonzalo, Kate and even ole Bert were top notch and down right fantastic! Very knowledgeable and professional but kept things fun and entertaining. Chris always has a story about his “mate”! Hahaha! We will be coming back to get that last dive and do our “Official first AOWD” with these guys and gals! 12 out of 10 would recommend coming to this place as they will take care of you no matter what! Thank you Blue Water Diving for the support and training you have provided and we will see you soon! Cheers

Had a great month working towards becoming a divemaster. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend coming here and letting Kate, Chris and carolyn show you the best diving experience.

Whilst on holiday I joined Blue Water Diving for a mornings diving for qualified divers and they were flawless from start to finish! I hadn't planned to dive so I hadn't made a booking and I didn't have any kit with me. Kate was really helpful on the phone and got me booked in at pretty short notice.
On arrival the hire equipment was all in excellent condition and the boat was immaculate, which is always reassuring! Briefings from the boat captain, instructor and dive master were all very clear and no corners were cut with regards to safety.
The dives were brilliant. The water is very warm and clear, there's plenty to see and the conditions weren't challenging making it two all-round enjoyable dives. The instructor and dive master kept the group together nicely, pointed out a lot of interesting things and kept an eye on our air and NDL. The dives were of a decent length and depth. As soon as we surfaced the boat was ready and waiting.
I cannot fault Blue Water Diving at all and I'll be straight back next time I'm in the area. I've been on some holiday dives where safety and equipment can be a little too relaxed but this is the opposite. I wish I'd had the time to join them on more dives. Thank you!

We went diving with Bleu Waters. We had a very nice experience. Kate and Chris are very friendly and helpfull. Sergio was our instructor and guides us during the dives. We went on different spots.
Top dives with there own Zodic to some wrecks. I was surprises of the many fish, rays, sepia, ... we saw! I can certainly recommend this diving center!

Went on a refresher dive course with my eldest daughter in late May 2023. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got right back into the groove with some instructions from Leo, my buddy on this trip. Big shout out to Zaira, who looked after my very, very nervous daughter on her very first dive. Zaira was outstanding in every respect, expertly guiding my daughter through her first dive experience. My daughter was genuinely buzzed by the experience and although she had to fight nerves before the event, the whole crew reassured her and she was utterly delighted by the experience. I can thoroughly recommend Chris and all the team at Blue Water Diving and I hope to revisit them again later in the year. If you are in the area and looking for a dive, check them out, you won’t be disappointed. Steve K

Just returned from Gran Canaria (Puerto Rico) where I booked an 8 day scuba diving package with Blue Water Diving. This was the third time that I have dived with Blue Water and without question the best. I like their location with all the facilities now based in a newly equipped dive centre, very close to the beach at the marina in PR. It was also the first time that I have dived off their new larger boat. I was impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the students who were always on-hand to help the clients. I also would like to mention the professionalism displayed by staff members Giles and Zaira who displayed leadership with their divers. Kate and Chris run a great dive company. I always contact Kate before leaving UK by WhatsApp, just to confirm dates and details of my visit. Whether you are just curious about scuba diving, a beginner or an experienced qualified diver, contact Blue Water Diving. You'll have a great experience.

Hello, Your website indicates that you have snorkeling trips, but there is not much info on that and there are no pictures (maybe one) of snorkeling trips. Do you do snorkeling outings and are they shore or boat? Thanks very much for your help.

Hi. we are coming in July and my 7 year old would like to try snorkelling. Is this something you could help with? We also have a 3 year old although I doubt he would get in the sea to do it.

Hi, we are looking to dive in October. Can you please tell me what paperwork you need re medical certificates. We u derstand Spain require a full medical certificate or do you provide a form our Gp can fill in. I ask because one involves a higher cost than the other. Many thanks Dianne

Hi.. My apologies for the delay in the reply... As she is 9 years old we can start her off with either a Bubblemaker experience or the Padi Seal Team... Unfortunately due to her age shes unable to dive in the open water, but we can certainly give her some fun in the pool :)
