We could not tell if this being renovated or just had parts permanently closed off. You could not walk to the end of the pier while we were there. The main building is an arcade. It might be interesting if you have kids. Otherwise the...More

Beautiful setting but overall this pier was in need of a bit of an update. To be fair though it was hit hard during the winter storms.

Essentially a penny arcade and thats it half of it closed off and the rest slot machines and the same old stuff you find everywhere else.

Walk through the slot machines etc to the outside you are confronted with barriers to prevent acces to the end of the Pier. Equally you have to retrace your steps through the 'arcade' to exit and not around the sides. Disappointing

We never actually went on the pier because it wasn’t fairly clear how you get to it and also this is one of the only piers I can think of where you have to trawl through a 100 yards of arcades to get to it...More

It looks derelict and there supposed to be having renovation but I wouldn't even bother going to it if you were thinking of going

It is amazing to see the boats and small ships to lay down at the seabottom clay during the low time of the tide and how refloat at the high tide

No visit to the seaside is complete without a stroll on the pier. Unfortunately weather was against but even in the rain and wind it was a nostalgica reminder of english piers in their hayday.
