An amazing experiences long as you wear sensible shoes and are quite agile, some of the passages are very low, hence the name of one of them Gorrilla walk. Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable, well worth the entrance fee.

Interesting as an afternoon out. Caves are impressive. Tour was 80 minutes long and a mile (half there and half back). Some of the passages have very low ceilings and you’ll have to walk a few minutes bending double. Price £29.59 for a family of...More

Drove past the cave on the way to the lake district. So on the drive home we popped in. Missed the first tour of the day and waited 1 hour for the next one. Cafe was pretty standard and cold but there were heaters and...More

Thank you. We have had some very cold weather, so it's good to know that you appreciated the hot drinks. Each time cave explorers enter the system we wonder what they will have to tell us when they come back to the surface.

Beautiful drive to the caves to start. We were super lucky as we had the snow too so the scenery was even better. The tour is 80 minutes and from start to finish the 4 children where enthralled Tom our tour guide kept there interest...More

Thank you for your visit. It's great to hear how much your children enjoyed the cave. We love it when young people are enthused by their subterranean experience.

Arrived at 10.10 on a rainy Saturday and ended up on the first tour of the day. There was only four of us on the tour which actually made it better for us as I can see how a large group down there could detract...More

Thank you. It is good to know that you enjoyed your tour of the cave. To our knowledge, nobody has got stuck in the squeeze, although quite a few think in advance that they might.

Visited White Scar Caves on New Year's Eve eve, had a most enjoyable time underground with our great and knowable guide, we were part of a small mixed group of about 15 people adventuring into the unknown. We put on our safety helmets and plunged...More

Everything about our visit to the cave was excellent. The 'cheeky chappie' tour guide (didn't get his name, Cockney bloke I think (sorry if not!)) was as brilliant and informed as he was entertaining. He made an already fascinating insight into an underground realm even...More

Thank you for your visit, and for your review. We have always quietly appreciated the exercise value of the cave tour, so we are delighted to see you endorsing that!

It was out third visit to the cave to see Santa there. At it was the best possible choice. The day before it was very stormy and rainy, so all the little streams and waterfalls in the cave became enormous, noisy and run beautifully, showing...More

Thank you. Good to know that you enjoyed seeing Father Christmas in the cave. The Sword of Damocles was damaged many years ago, and had to be repaired. it is now protected by a metal grille.
