The tour around the caves is spectacular and well worth the money. The guide was good fun and brought it all to life. There is also a new chamber to explore which was opened recently. The other family exhibits appear to divide the crowd. We did enjoy the penny arcade though, and the gallery about the history of the caves.... More

We came out over waster weekend. Caves good, but I will echo another reviewer in that it would be good if there were less people per tour and you got longer, so could take it in properly. Truly amazing to look at! Attractions good for kids, liked the dinosaurs, the 4d cinema was a hit, although I could see this... More

Visited with wife and 3 children (ages 7-12) last week. Really rather underwhelming and dull. The guide seemed to have lost the will to live and delivered the entire tour in the dullest monotone delivery imagineable. She just couldn't bring it to life or make it interesting in any way whatsoever. The "theme park" outside is awful - 1950's style... More

Had a 'Kids go free' voucher so we took our 13 & 6 year old to Wookey Hole caves. The caves were very interesting and the guide was good. The 4d cinema was new since our last visit (probably 7years ago) and a lot of fun. A good addition. We then watched the circus show which after a wobbly start... More

Wookey hole caves are an amazing set of caves located deep under the Mendip Hills, there is a tour which leads through the caves and takes half an hour. I did feel sorry for the guides being forced to take large groups through as it was half term rather than smaller groups with additional guides available.

The caves were awe inspiring. You go round with a guide in a group which I preferred because it held my children's attention as opposed to the self guide tours. The guide was fantastic and my daughters liked wearing a hard hat to enter the latest cave open to the public. The rest of Wookey hole could do with an... More

The caves are great, and the other attractions are good too. Staff very helpful, and set in a truly lovely part of the country. It's just that it doesn't seem to know what it is. Don't get me wrong... it really is fun, but is it about caves, witchcraft, dinosaurs, pirates, seaside piers, crazy golf, clowns..? Not unduly expensive and... More

We went with a friend who has recently been very ill and unfortunately had to sit out most of what was done. A vehicle similar to a golf buggy taking people up and down the hill like they have at national trust properties would have been great for her and also elderly people, as well as some disabled. Excellent place... More

We visited over the Easter bank holiday and wasn't as busy as expected. Four adults went along with 5 children aged between 3 and 8. Enjoyed the caves but personally didn't feel we got to enjoy them as you get moved on quickly. We all enjoyed the 4D show and the kids loved the golf and penny games. All in... More

The caves are natural and spectacular in their own right. The £19 entrance fee is expensive for these and the post cave attractions. The post cave attractions are tired, dirty and dull. The guides have an interesting script and seem intolerant of children.
