We were greeted on arrival but a Witch and Pirate who interacted with my children and kept them entertained while I collected tickets.

When we reached the cave entrance the guide was also interactive with the children whilst we were waiting to enter. They were selling glow sticks in the queue at £2 each but cash only so couldn't purchase as only had card.

Our guide was a young man recently returned from a caving adventure in Austria who's name escapes me and he was very whitty and entertaining with his delivery of the information on the caves.

The caves are a natural wonder but the other bits on site feel very mismatched and feels disjointed whilst trying to be tied in to a theme.

I don't feel our visit was great value for money and would probably not visit again. My children enjoyed the soft play but the golf/penny arcade costing additional meant they got upset as we spent the last of our holiday budget on entry fees.

We spent a total of 3hours here, mainly in soft play!

The caves were amazing and the tour guide was funny and informative. After having such a great time in the caves the rest of the place just left me feeling confused. Worn our dinosaur figures which lead us to a 4d cinema. Watched a 5 minute intro by a bat about the witch, to then watch a random film about a disneyworld ripoff mouse....I'm still confused. Then a circus which was fun but definitely amateur. A short mirror maze, some old amusement arcade games and a small museum.

The food was a canteen style restaurant which had a long queue so my drink was cold by the time i sat down and I got overcharged for a kids meal. Food was nice and lots of choice and good portions.

We did the crazy golf first which was great fun and no queue, when we left there was a huge queue so good tip to do this first.

I think this place needs to focus on the caves and the natural beauty of the area. Would be better as an outdoor activity centre with climbing walls to match the activities in the caves rathet than the random other things.

Make sure you get a blue peter badge for your kids as it gives them free entry.

We only went for the adventure golf and it was all good except for the exceptionally rude man in the golf shed who was so rude and unpleasant. This rather old and grumpy man gave us our clubs and balls then said ‘give me your tickets’ we said ‘we have come to buy them here’ he said ‘didn’t you read the signs? You have to buy them at the kiosk - give me the clubs and balls back and get tickets’. I said ‘oh we didn’t know that - he said ‘you should read the signs then’. It was such an unpleasant greeting and he didn’t say ‘have a lovely time’ or smiled. He was then rude again when we got our tickets. He did spoil the start of our day. His behaviour was unacceptable and I hope the owner sacks him and gets a more pleasant and polite person in there!

Had a very enjoyable day at wookey hole caves as there is lots to do. We visited the actual caves first which was great with the informative guide.

We then walked through the dinosaur park and into the 4D cinema. The crazy golf was fun as was the mirror maze and the amusements.

There is also a decent size soft play which my daughter said was very good. I found the cave diving museum interesting as well.

We also saw the wookey hole circus which was great, the peformance was a combination of circus and magic which we all really enjoyed.

Refreshments were good and there was lots of seating.

Large, free car park and you can use Tesco clubcard points to buy the tickets.
Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Ashamed as I am to admit it, I have known of Wookey Hole Caves for many, many years and had often resolved to visit, however, never got round to it.
However, on a rainy day in April, it seemed the ideal time and so my wife and I headed off to "do something different" for a change - and I cannot express how delighted we both were at having done so.
We had seen the photos on their website and, as with many things, did not expect what we would see for ourselves to match the images online but again, it just shows how wrong you can be!
Wookey hole Caves is far, far, far more spectacular than any photo can ever convey! The sheer cavernous depth and beauty of the place, enhanced as it is with sensitive and colourful lighting, HAS to be seen to be appreciated in all its natural glory.
The whole experience was enhanced by Neil, our guide, who's knowledge of the caves, their history and exploration exploits provided a wealth of information that only someone who "really knows" can give.
Camera flashes are not allowed but the lighting is such that it does not prevent you from getting some truly spectacular photos, to the point where my wife actually ran out of space on her phone!
If you are looking for something that will both (very moderately) challenge you - let's face it, not everyone is comfortable underground) but will most defintely leave you with a sense of wonder and awe and, as it is suitable for explorers of all ages, children are more than welcome too - but don't forget to look out for the Wookey Hole witch!
One little bit of advice though, is to make sure you wear suitable footwear. We both wore walking boots, which were perfect but I would recommend that you don't wear flipflops or sandals.
Outside the caves, the grounds are excellent, with a "Dinosaur Walk" that will keep children (and adults) entertained, along with museum, dinosaur bones hunting, cinema and many other attractions, including a 1960's style seaside pier with loads of penny slot machines and fairground rides.
For those who wish to stay, the Wookey Hole Caves Hotel is right opposite the main entrance.
All in all, we had a terrific time at Wookey Hole Caves, so much so that we will be returning in the not too distant future to try their "Wild Wookey" adventure.

Really nice place to visit. Cave's are amazing and the tour guide Emily was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The history of the caves are very interesting. This our our second time visiting with our son and he really enjoyed it. The attraction seems very well cared for and looked after. The dinosaur area is fun, especially for children with imagination. The soft play is nice for a stop off, and useful if it starts to rain. The golf course is also fun and well maintained. We didn't visit the 4d theatre or the arcades - but felt our day was full enough without those extras.
In terms of cost, I feel personally we got very good value for money - lots of attractions we have looked at have cost far more. We spent a large part of the day there, not feeling rushed and liked that the golf was all included. I've paid more for other attractions where all the added bits cost extra money. I also feel you can see that they re-invest the money in the place and are genuinely interested in you enjoying your time there - eg it was decorated for Halloween. We have previously been in October half term time where the children dressed up which was really nice to see.

I spent a whole day with a 4-year-old child who loved the place and did not want to leave.
So much to do for children aged 4 to 10 here.
I felt it was very good value for money for the day, and eating food in restaurant was very reasonably priced compared to other places I ate.
I almost feel like they have not increased their prices with inflation like other tourist attractions I visited this summer.
The caves are very big, and the tour is pretty fast and for all ages.
Enchanted Glade and Dino Land were loved by the child, and some great photos can be had here.
Softplay area only up to age 10, so you get disappointed teenage kids when you go past that area. My child loved it.

The circus show by the young girls was very entertaining and probably worth half the ticket price for a great live performance. very impresive. Usual shop at end selling bits and pieces and place can be a bit quircky with so many odds and ends. Really just a great day out and an ice cream shop with a great selection at the end on the way out. Mirrour Maze is also great fun. I felt they could maybe have had a witch movie or something for 4D Cinma; mind my only criticism, well worth the money.

Honestly, not massively my cup of tea. However, I can certainly see the appeal, you get what you pay for and more. Caves require decent footwear so ensure you wear some good shoes. Multiple other events on aside from caves aswell! 4D experience (Ice age) Dino Park, old style games area, food hall and local circus act (great fun).

I personally wouldn’t go back for a fair while as it was very busy and hard to take photos etc.
But it is definitely worth a visit with family (especially around Christmas)

P.s I noticed lodges in the area that look lovely if you were looking to stay overnight!

We visited here 22/9/24 as we were staying at the Wookey Hole Hotel for 2 nights. We last came when the children were young - probably about 10 years ago. We had enough Clubcard vouchers to get in for free - hurrah! The cave experience was very good, as was our guide. There’s plenty of other things there, too, albeit a lot of it geared up for children. We still enjoyed it & stayed for about 2 hours. We would have had a game of crazy golf had it not been raining! It’s a good place to visit in bad weather as there’s plenty to do indoors. The only criticism I have is the loud music playing in the cafe - we only went in there for my husband to have a coffee before we drove back home, but we opted to sit outside under cover as it was way too loud.

My family and I spent the day at Wookey Hole Caves and it was truly a fun and interactive experience !
The cave tour was fun and informative - The 4D cinema was on par with most rides you would find at Disney land.

Staff were very helpful and kind

My only point would be to stop off at the local Tesco to pick up some food prior to arrival as i feel the prices they charge are inflated

Def worth a visit and the town of Wells is lovely to walk around
