We had a afternoon tea and tour here , a perfect afternoon. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking ,a hidden gem or off-the-beaten path.

Lovely day at Holmfirth Vineyard, we went for my boyfriends birthday. Dean the host was great, funny and really knowledgable - very informative about the process of wine making and really knew his stuff. Wish the day could be made slightly longer as it was quite quick, slightly let down by the food as there was a surcharge for the... More

This is a must for wine lovers! A beautiful setting with friendly knowledgeable staff. The tour is interesting and informative and not dry or boring. It really makes you appreciate the wine making process. The tasting was good fun (at least we didn't have to spit!) The wines were lovely and reasonably priced (drank 2 bought 3 more to take... The car park is situated above the establishment and the path down is a little tricky for those not good on their feet. This place must pay peanuts because the staff are definitely monkeys, and indeed I thought the whole experience was an expensive tea party served by monkeys. I found the food average at best, obviously prepared by young... More

We had afternoon tea followed by a tour of the vineyard with a bit of wine tasting. The food was very good. Not much to look at but the taste of everything was delicious especially the ham. Lance took our tour and he was a brilliant guide. So passionate and engaging he made it a very fun and informative tour... More

Took the 10:30 wine tour. (There is also one at 15:30). The guide (a sommelier) told us about the history of the place, type of grapes grown etc. This year apparently has been a bad year due to weather. They are predicting to produce only 3000-400 bottles whereas they usually produce over 10000 bottles. We saw the grapes on the... More

Had a very informative and funny tour of the vineyard and wine tasting. Lance was a most excellent host. Finished afternoon with a serving of afternoon tea which was lovely. My request for gluten free items was not a problem. A beautiful location and a good product to keep in mind when considering further purchases. Do not dismiss home grown... More

Why is there a vineyard in Holmfirth? Is there something special about the soil we don't know about? No, its a great story about a couple who just thought they would have a go! This tour is a fabulous and funny insight into British eccentricity! Lance was our guide and he is knowledgeable, funny and can tell a great story... More

Was bought a tour of the vineyard and afternoon tea as a birthday gift. Wasn't sure what to expect but my husband and I had a lovely day out. Crossed the Pennines in thick fog which fortunately lifted just in time for our tour to reveal the vineyard in bright sunshine. It is in a glorious spot on a steep... More
