- KatSimpson78Inverness, United Kingdom85 contributionsFab little museum ❤️Loved this wee place. Crammed full of memorabilia and interesting facts about the cast, crew, characters, and town. It's well laid out upstairs, and downstairs is dangerous because you want to buy all the knick knacks. It's a great entry price, too. We had a really great time here. My only irk is the lassie at the counter. Quite rude and showed no interest whatsoever. This could be a wonderful experience, but it felt awkward and cold.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 November 2023
- Mrs K5 contributionsSummer wine exhibition & museumEntry price nice & cheap to this wonderful exhibition, only down Side was the assistant was not at all helpful her body language told us she really didn't want to be there. There was a dress up box so you could have a photo taken the only costume for Compo were 2 pairs of whellies, when I asked if there was a hat or coat for Compo I was told abruptly if it's not in the box then no. As this was set up by Bill Owen to celebrate the summer wine series, i don't think he would be to impressed, so please to keep this exhibition true to Compo & Summer wine please have an assistant that is an actual fan of the programme running the exhibition.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 May 2024

Highlight of our Last of The Summer Wine trip away. Although having a slightly run down/amateur feel, it is full of the obvious passion for the programme, it's history and the characters we all grew to love. If you have even a passing interest, i'd recommend a visit if you are in the area. Pure nostalgia for cosy Sunday evenings with the family.

What a brilliant exhibition, very tiny space with a tiny entrance fee, but what a lot they have inside.
Lovely pictures adorn the walls, lots of genuine props from a lot of the episodes and a brilliant video showing parts of the episodes, bloopers, actors talking about the whys, wherefores and how the episodes came about, we could have spent the afternoon in there.
Well worth a visit.

I had to give this a four star simply because I can see that if you're a big fan of LOTSW then you'd love all the nerdy info that's available. Unfortunately I'm not that interested - only went because my husband is a big fan - and apart from the video on loop I thought it was really boring. Moral of the story: if you love LOTSW you'll love it. If not then wait outside!

Very disappointing that we didn’t get to see this , for a number of reasons . Conflicting information on trip adviser ( said it was open) , their website ( said it was open) and Google ( said it was closed ) . We had waited until today , the last day before we went home as we wanted to go out on a high . Phoned to confirm that it was open , phone not answered but did get a call back eventually to confirm that it was closed ! Also, it is not accessible for those with mobility issues . Compo, Clegg and Foggy would be turning in their graves !! Their admin needs sorting at the very least .

Situated in the centre of town, easy to find. The exhibition is just a lovely place to visit. Covid restrictions are in place. It was £2,50 per person. Well organised and very informative, all the pictures and memorabilia from the show..a TV showing the old episodes... you can take pictures...would definitely add this to the list of things to do in Holmfirth

Love this exhibition. I have to be forcefully dragged away from watching the outtakes continually running on the monitor. Nostalgic & a must for devotees. Will be back to spend another £2.50 for my entry to a comical world.

Good exhibition.
It opened on time on Sunday and I was first in. A really good exhibition with loads of props & stories & information about the series.
I really enjoyed looking around it. Great value for money.
Gift shop area looked a little tired with empty shelves and some stuff clearly been there a while. That needs a good spruce up.
But overall if in area go take a look.

Cost £3 each to get in (two adults). So much memorabilia from the show. Really enjoyed reading all the informative boards scattered around. It was great to see the clothing from the cast. Right next door to Nora Batty’s house too which was excellent. If your a fan, this is a must. So many gifts to buy. Highly recommend.
