I booked a day for me and my friend with Fergal for a private driving tour of Northern Ireland. This was her first time in Ireland and I wanted a more bespoke experience than what you will get on a tour bus. The best description I can give is this was like a drive in a new country with a local friend who has the familiarity, experience, and knowledge to show you the true personality of a place. We drove down country lanes with stunning vistas, we stood on cliffs overlooking the sea, we drove down to intimate coves, and we met locals who added color to the day. An added bonus was a delicious lunch at Marconi's Bar & Bistro in Ballycastle. I'm still dreaming of the seafood chowder, and the staff were so charming. Fergal asked what we thought was the highlight of the tour and for me it was all of it! Thank you Fergal for a memorable day and certainly a highlight of our trip.

Thank you so much Annmarie for this amazing review of our day together on the wonderful Causeway Coast and Glens and for your wonderful companionship throughout the day. I never tire of showing off the beauty of the place that I call home and that so many wonderful people like yourselves are appreciative of this gorgeous part of Ireland. And I am grateful of your appreciation of the great men and women at Marconi's in Ballycastle. There is so much more to see and enjoy and I look forward to welcoming you back soon. Go Raibh Maith Agat! Thank you also for your generous gift at the end of our outing my friends. Safe onward travels and see you all soon!

Ireland was at the top of my bucket list. We’ve made other stops around Ireland but this tour completed everything I wanted and expected to see in Ireland.
This was the most incredible tour. A full days worth of non stop unbelievable beauty and history. Fergal was a joy to spend the day with. We loved his stories and history lessons.
I loved that we were able to see so much. Every stop was just the right amount of time to enjoy but then move on to next stop.
Thank you Fergal for the best day ever! 💗

This was a great experience for us. We were so tired from getting on and off busses and this was just Fergus, our guide, and us. He drove us in a beautiful Jag and toured us all over the coast of Northern Ireland. He picked us up and dropped us off promptly and with almost no walking to and from. I highly recommend this tour. Fergus was knowledgeable, professional and fun!!

Hi there Arlene and Doug. Gosh you are quick with your reviews but I'm deligthed that we had such a great day today off Celebrity Apex and along our mostly sunny Irish coast. And that you had your first ride in a Jaguar!! Thanks for these lovely words my friends and I do trust that you will join me again to continue your Ireland journey sometime soon. Slainte agus Go Raibh Maith Agat!

Fergal is very personable and a total professional. He has huge depth of knowledge to share and is an excellent tour guide. His vehicle is very comfortable and can obviously negotiate access where a big tour bus could not. The Antrim coast is awesome and a coastal tour is a must do if you are Belfast. We hd a really enjoyable trip and felt so well looked after all the way. Late morning pick up from our hotel on time and dropped back to the door - a private tour is the best way to see the coast and we can highly recommend contacting Fergal if you want to enjoy the best experience,

Best private tour!! Mr. Kearney was both professional and pleasant while providing a very unique experience filled with the history and culture of Ireland. We got to visit several off the beaten path locations. My favorite was the small home where Andrew Jacksons family had it’s beginnings. There is also a Rangers museum there that is a “must see” in my opinion. The coastal road and countryside were amazing to see. Starting later in the day allowed us to miss most all the larger groups that took tour buses. The weather was a bit overcast at the beginning, that’s Ireland, but turned beautiful by mid day. Recommend you book early as he gives limited tours each week.

Hello again Margaret and Peter and thank you so much for your marvellous words about our day together last week. I am always humbled by my guest's response to our trip along the lovely Antrim Coast & Glens, a small yet impressive part of our gorgeous Emerald Isle. Gracious also for you to record your appreciation of the Andrew Jackson Centre and US Rangers Museum at Boneybefore, which normally is not open Tuesday!! It was meant to be.
I trust that you will continue to enjoy your shore/work duty at Belfast Port and that you will look me up again if you would like to explore more of our lovely Island. Safe travels my friends.
Go Raibh Maith Agat agus Slainte!

This was an amazing experience! I booked this online almost 1 year in advance. I told Fergal that we didn't want to see all the touristy places, but rather the true beauty of Ireland on the back roads. He listened and delivered exactly what we wanted!!! He was a fantastic tour guide.
He arrived promptly at our hotel late morning to pick us up. We took a brief drive through Belfast and he did point out some points of interest and history of the city. It was raining and we knew it was supposed to clear up in about an hour so he took us to this little known treasure of a museum - U.S. Ranger Center/Andrew Jackson Center where we learned about the connection of Ireland with the US through Andrew Jackson (originally from Belfast) and how the US Rangers had their beginning in Ireland.
By the time our visit was over at the museum the rain had stopped and we then ventured out of town and spent the day driving through the countryside, along the northern coastline, all the way to Derry and back. We would stop and take pictures along the way and Fergal was great at giving history of the area as well as culture of the Irish. We did visit some castles, the swinging rope bridge (from a distance), the place where CS Lewis got his inspiration for Narnia, and some of the places where they filmed The Game of Thrones. All of it was breathtakingly beautiful.
We stopped for dinner at a local restaurant in Ballycastle (Marconi's Bar and Bistro) where he knew the waitstaff and recommend the best seafood stew. We got the history of the carrier pigeons during WWII as well as the testing Marconi did of "telegraphy without wires" between Ballycastle and Rathlin Island in 1898.
My husband and I highly recommend taking an all day personalized tour with Fergal if you are ever in Belfast Ireland. We had one day to experience as much of Ulster as possible before embarking on a cruise the next day. This was money well spent and probably the highlight of our entire 2 week trip.

Had a wonderful private Northern Highlights tour of the Antrim Coast with Fergal. He promptly picked us up at our B&B in Portrush and showed us amazing sights. Not only did we see the typical sights like Giants Causeway but many others that we would never have visited on our own. Feral was prepared with everything we might need including bottled water, umbrellas and even binoculars! When he learned we both enjoyed gardening he worked in a tour of a castle garden for us. It was also nice to have someone to take pictures of the two of us which Fergal did and shared photography tips as well. Would not hesitate to book again with Fergal.

Hi there my wonderful friends and thank you so much for leaving such a marvellous review of our day together along the lovely Causeway Coast and Glens. It is always a joy to conduct this tour in 'reverse' as it opens up so many lovely hidden gems and secrets that would normally be missed. I was delighted to introduce you to the Walled Garden at Glenarm Castle, where bright sunshine replaced the threat of earlier downpours and where I too enjoyed a place not visited in decades! When you are back this way again, give me a shout and we can take another 'fabulous' tour. In the meantime, happy journeys my friends.

All I can do is piggyback on what the others have said!
Please know, it is without a doubt one of the best tours we have ever taken (and we have visited 23 countries in the past 5 years).
Fergal has perfected the art of tour guide. His passion, knowledge, and genuine ability to make you feel like family "just out for a Sunday afternoon drive" makes this trip priceless.
This is a phenomenal experience, one you will never forget!

We hired Fergal to take us on a 1 day trip from Belfast all the way up the coast of North East Ireland. We were more than overwhelmed with the whole trip!! Each stop we took we said “This is the most beautiful place we’ve ever seen!”, but then the next stop came, and sure enough, it was even more beautiful than the last. The history that we learned on the 1 day trip, the unbelievably gorgeous landmarks we were introduced to, the typical friendly Irish that we met along the way…..we really cannot compare it to anything else. Thank you so much, Fergal, for the incredible memories, they will not be forgotten and nor will you!!

Hi there, I know that New Years Eve is booked but everything is free around then. You might get in touch with Viator/TripAdvisor about this, I will look into my own booking page on my site. Let me know if you can book. Thanks again, Fergal

We have a group of 3 adults, 1 senior, and 1 child wanting to book this tour, but the website and Viator are showing conflicting information about the size of vehicle we should pick ...
The website says a private car is enough for up to 6 people, but Viator says the car is just for 2-3 persons. So exactly which one is correct?

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. The Private Car tour hosts up to 3 guests. The Minivan Tour hosts from 4 to 6 guests. The confusion may arise around the fact that both tours are private and limited to your individual booking. The website is currently carrying a 'Standard' option which will shortly be removed. You should therefore book the Minivan option for your group, should you wish to proceed. It would be great to see you all on the tour and don't hesitate to contact us for any other queries. Warmest regards, Fergal.
