About
Haggard Alley is a small shop based in the Fishing Village of Mallaig. We are down the wee Alleyway across from The Royal Bank Of Scotland and although we are small, we are somewhat an Aladdin's Cave for Licensed Harry Potter Merchanside and other Magical Gifts featured around the Mystical world.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely loved this shop, the wee witch (the lovely lady's words) and her wit added to the atmospheric building, we had a giggle from beginning to end. I am an avid Harry Potter fan and rate this shop as one of the best for its display and goods, it really is unique. We ended up leaving with a collectors Dobby and a Scottish version of The Philophosers Stone which I've never come across before. 10/10, definitely worth a visit.

This is more like a visitor’s attraction than a shop and although you will buy because of the fun and unusual Harry Potter items there is absolutely no pressure. Found it inexpensive and the lady there was so lovely. We had our wee dog with us and she was great with her giving her pets and treats. We all got a shot of the sorting hat including the dog - husband was a slytherin and we were all gryffindor - lots of laughs. Not to be missed even just for the life size nimbus 2000 on display!!!

Stumbled across this shop by accident but we are so glad we did! Was greeted by two really lovely and friendly members of staff. The shop was full of things I wanted to buy, but had to limit myself to just one t-shirt. The display room at the back was really cool. Lovely shop!

The shop layout was great but not being a true fan and due to the restrictions of Covid, I felt obliged to move on quickly to allow others in to have a look around and I left my daughter to browse. I was horrified to find my daughter had spent £5 on a chocolate frog weighing less than a Cadbury’s Freddo! I presume the overpriced cost is for the single collector card inside. I know these things are popular but it just seems someone is making a small fortune on this particular product. It did mar my overall judgement a little but I’m sure if you’re a fan you’ll love it!

Thank you for your review and please be assured we stick strictly to recommended retail price on all our products and in some cases we are below RRP compared to most similar shops out there. I’m sorry to learn you felt rushed in your visit. We ensure we do not allow COVID restrictions affect our customers experience in our store and most feedback we receive regarding the new limited numbers is positive given the size of our shop.

Small shop well hidden, except for its mini sign.

Door difficult to open. So many of us thought it was closed...

There is more of the Wizarding World than the official Warner or Noble Collection.

Having visited their official website, I expected to find some objects, which unfortunately I did not see there. Objects rather original but it was not.

Lots of people in this tight place.

Though small, this is a wonderful shop selling Harry Potter merchandise. Staff are very friendly and we have now signed up to their Facebook account to hear of future merchandise.

Great little shop for gifts and souveniers. Has Harry Potter gifts as the Jacobite train comes into Mallaig so is very popular with tourists. Lovely shop also has great hats, scarves and other winter scottish essentials. Had to stop hubby from buying as this was our second visit here. Also near the harbour so you can pop in here on the way.

Went to visit Haggard Alley on our family trip to Scotland! Lovely little shop nestled in the streets of Mallaig. Friendly staff and a huge array of different merchandise from not only Harry Potter but also fantastic beasts! Me and my sister got a selection of pin badges which we love wearing! đź’Ż recommend
