Do you want to feel like one of the ancient explorers? The highlights of this part of the our 19,000 km road trip were glaciers, waterfalls, jade, bears and utter wilderness. The scenery was sensational as soon as we drove on the side road to...More

Over the years this glacier has receded, however it is an amazing sight to see, just pull over along the highway.

It is a nice glacier and it is visible from the street. Just stop in one of the parking lots along the street. Well worth a stop.

It is important to take advantage of opportunities while we can when it comes to the environment. This is one of those times! The glacier is still accessible to view from the roadway! The view is stunning! What a magnificent welcome to Stewart and Hyder!

The drive up the side of the mountain is a little hard, the road is full of potholes and narrow in places. But when you get to the top the views are just amazing.

The views in every direction are amazing. There is a parking lot and garbage can but no other services. It'd be neat to have an interpretive sign up to show the Glacier as it was before it receded. I researched it and was sad to...More

Wow! What an amazing sight to see on your way into Stewart. Not many towns have an entrance way like that, well worth the drive.
