Only accessible by boat, Floyd’s Pelican Bar offers a thoroughly memorable experience with stunning views and great food. Swim or snorkel in the shallow waters, savor grilled lobster, and play a round or two of dominoes. Top it off with a breathtaking sunset and a cold Red Stripe Beer. A Spot not to be missed!
We visited Floyd's Pelican Bar in September 2023 with friends after a day at YS Falls. We used Jamaica Transport Tours for our tour guides. ( I highly recommend their services) We stayed to watch the sunset which was a real treat. We had the pleasure of meeting Floyd who is so humble and kind and made our group feel so welcome. My husband brought his guitar and Floyd sat with us and listened to him play. You have to take a little boat to get there obviously which was included in our tour. The red stripe tasted amazing sitting on the deck at Floyd's. Don't miss visiting this little gem, this was our second visit to this cute little place and it won't be our last.

    First visit to Pelican Bar
We visited Pelican bar as part of the YS Falls, Appleton Excursion on my Birthday. It was so cool and never seen anything like it! The lemon Red stripe beers are really nice and are 7 Dollars each. I am not a beer drinker and it was nice so definitely recommend trying that even if you don't like beer normally! The whole place is really unique and had a nice vibe! It was a little bit crowded but still found a place to sit and relax!

    Bucket list ticked off
This is definitely a bucket list destination. Visited here on Saturday 24/02. I had organised our boat trip via Sheldon's Boat Tour prior to arriving in Jamaica. There are various boats along the coast line and also boat tours from Negril who visits on a regular basis. On the day we visited, we called ahead of time and the boat was there waiting for us. It was 5-10 minutes boat ride to Floyd's. On arrival was greeted warmly by staff. Music was going, drinks flowing and the smell of the freshly prepared meals were to die for. We didn't have cooked meal but bought some drinks which were reasonably priced. On deck there were a photographer (unsure if he is there all the time). You can have your photo taken and if you don't like them- there is no pressure for you to purchase them. There are various craft and other items for sale at reasonable prices. You can have your name carved for a small fee. You can swim, just sit and soak up the sunshine, play a game of dominoes, enjoy the freshly cooked meals or rock to some good Jamaican music. This is one of those unique places you want to say 'I have been there'. Will definitely return when in Jamaica again.

Great bar, great vibe - a must visit!
Great experience, worth the trip down to the coast from Montego Bay. Vibe, food, drink all really enjoyable. Not cheap, but you're paying for the experience which doesn't disappoint. Also use @Chron2pelicanbar1 for the short boat trip over from the beach. Top guy.

    Another Great Experience
Great place as the bar is based out in the sea, they sell drinks and serve food there too. Floyde himself has been there both times we have visited (the visits are 6 years apart.) Good vibes, good music and good times. Can also go for a swim in the sea while you’re there! Be sure to bring swimwear :) Definitely recommend!

The view was amazing! Order early, go swimming and take your sunscreen! The price was perfect for us locals. It can get crowded on certain days, so just be aware of that.

We visited the bar as part of a trip to YS Falls. The bar is made out of driftwood and situated about a mile off shore and can only be reached by boat, which costs "$25 us pp to get there. Once there it is an interesting venue, but the grab fir your cash is persistent. Drinks are expensive $7 us for a sma bottle of Red Stripe, We did not eat there but understand every dish is $25 us. You are encouraged to have your name carved on the deck for $5 pp and of course encouraged to buy over priced tourist tat in the shop. The toilets are awful so try and ho before you set off and drop straight into the sea. Guests are able to swim around the structure but in view of the toilet issue, I decided to stay on deck. The staff were all smoking weed and the smell was obvious so I would not recommend this for children. I imagine it would be nice at sunset yo have a cold beer and admire the view but after 30 mins, I had had enough. It is an unique but very expensive visit, and I would not make a deliberate effort to ho there if I was staying a long way away.

It is a very unique place, but the wait time for food was way too long. We waited almost two hours for wings (there were 5 in 1 order) and fries. You also can’t leave until the boat driver comes back, which meant we stayed longer than we wanted to.
