Somewhat hidden, and away from the coast in this small museum, housed in an old farmhouse. Currently there is a small restaurant, with a very nice terrace outside, and a small museum with works from Paul Delvaux, a contemporary of Rene Magritte. The museum shows...More

This museum is on the Belgian North Sea coast, about a one-hour train ride from Brussels. If you are a fan of Delvaux's paintings, this is the place to go. If you don't know much about Delvaux, this is an opportunity to see the work...More

Precious gem of art in the middle of this bath tourism place, where the painter Paul Delvaux lived and died. There is permanent expo with some very important and beautiful works of him, and a temporary exhibition showing etches and drawings that are reproductible. Avsolutely...More

With some of Delvaix' most famous works, the museum offers a good view and understanding of his art. Impressive how the facade of a typical Belgian sea-side house, hides a modern and impressive museum.

As a painter I visit several painters museums. This museum is large with only Paul DELVAUX's oil paintings, watercolor paintings and litho's. This visit will work inspirational to my new art pieces. He is a real Master of Expressionisme. This is a MUST for every ARTLOVER

I had wanted to visit this museum for a number of years and I especially went out of my way to take the family. We were not disappointed. The museum gave a thorough account of his life - and so it should as he inaugurated...More

Paul Delvaux was one of the leading surrealist artists of his ear and a leading exponent of this art movement. Second only in fame to the better know surrealist Rene Magritte, also of Belgium. The Foundation Delvaux was set-up as a foundation in an old...More
