I was in Vernon briefly with a river cruise, and while on a walking tour, the guide pointed out the museum in passing. After the tour, I went alone to this wonderful museum. It was one of the highlights if my trip to France--often the...More

This lovely, well-displayed collection is definitely worth a 40 minute visit en route to Vernon station from Giverny. The permanent collection contains some beautiful pieces from the American Colony artists established in Giverny in Monet's time, along with a beautiful roundel of Waterlillies by Monet...More

You can avoid it without particular regrets. It is extremely small. The only good point is that there are 2 originals Monet. You can not pay with your credit card, but only cash.

This is the same place as the Musee Poulain. See review there. It is an excellent museum, and the top floor is devoted to art depicting animals (kids would love this).

This is small, but nice museum. There is small permanent exposition with couple impressionist and also some temporary expositions from time to time. Vernon small charming town and I would definitely recommand to visit the museum and a town as well.

We went to this museum to see some Monet paintings after seeing his house and gardens at Giverny. They had a round Nympheas and one other, plus some other impressionist works and nice sculptures. They also had an interesting archaeology exhibit.

This 1500 structure has some nice Monet paintings. Less then 30 minute visit. Very close to the back entrance of the church.

The museum is worth a detour. There are a few interesting impressionist paintings (2 of Monet, most of American impressionists). Interesting contemporary collection of animal paintings.
